> 3 dayI have had this ASUS VivoBook 15 laptop (AMD Quad Core R7-3700U CPU) for about two weeks now, and I am really impressed with it. I primarily use it for programming C++ and Python, as well general internet surfing. The machine has proven to be very quick and responsive. The SSD drive allows quick startups and shutdowns. The screen is very nice, with a vivid and sharp display. I have not experienced any fan noise at all, but have not played any demanding games. I was a little apprehensive about the chiclet keyboard, but I have found it to be very pleasant and accurate to type on. My only concern is what seems to be a fairly rapid discharge of the battery. However since this is my first laptop in quite a few years I really cannot compare this units battery discharge rate with any other machines.

Greater than one weekSo I bought this laptop for my dad to replace his old laptop that was getting slower every day. I could have just upgraded the memory and put in a SSD but the laptop was over 5 years old. I did some looking around around and this laptop seemed to be what my dad needed. Fast processor, SSD drive, backlit keyboard and lightweight. I checked around looking at reviews on various websites. The biggest knock I saw was that 4 Gbs of the memory built into the motherboard so I would only be able to upgrade one chip. It wasnt a big deal, I bought an 8 GB chip and upgraded it to 12GB. The laptop was fast, the amount of crapware was low and all was well as I transferred the data from his old laptop to his new one. Then I noticed the one flaw... It has no SD card slot. My dad has an older DSLR so he takes the SD card out of his camera and plugs it into his laptop. I do the same with my MacBook because my DSLR is also an older model without built in WiFi. My dad who had liked the laptop so far immediately complained. I had to order a USB hub (on amazon of course) to make things right. I would have gone the full 5 stars if it had had a SD card slot.

> 3 dayI bought this laptop (Ryzen 7) for watching streams and gaming. I have a desktop, but I wanted something I could bring with me for when I had to dog sit or not be at my desk. Since I knew I would be gaming, I opted for the slightly beefier Ryzen 7 over the Ryzen 5. It will only net you around 7 extra fps on average, so the jump isn’t all that necessary.

> 3 dayI love this laptop! Its very fast and responsive. I ordered a Ryzen 7 with 8gb ram. Its a nice everyday use type laptop. If you plan to do some gaming, it can support light gaming only. I play Life After and its alright. Although, its not the fastest when loading things within the game. Overall, its still an awesome fast laptop for web- surfing and doing school work. Definitely a great buy

> 3 dayThis laptop was plagued by Blue Screen startup failures. Support has failed to provide a solution. I will need to figure out my own solution I guess. Avoid this laptop if you do not want to deal with Blue Screen of Death. (Nobody likes Blue Screen of Death)
