Audio-Technica VM540ML/H Turntable Headshell/Cartridge Combo Kit Red

This was an absolute game changer versus the cartridge that came with my AT LP120. Way better tracking and exceptional sound quality. I questioned how much a differencd this would make before purchasing. It is very much night and day to my ears. It was like removing earplugs. I am back to enjoying my setup now.

Looking for a stylus to replace the original one on my AT-120LP. After some research decided this was the best option for sound quality, price and easy installation. Got the entire headshell as it was much easier to pop off the old one and put this one on. Noticeable sound improvement right away. Highly recommend.

This micro line cartridge rand stylus rejuvenated Beatles and Stones albums I have had for 55 years. Its like Im listening to these albums for the 1st time in terms of new details that I never heard with previous elliptical stylus. Well worth the upgrade.

Started out my new vinyl fetish 4 years ago with an Ortofon 2M blue, then bought a cheap AT cart as a spare, discovered I liked the sound of that more - so have now upgraded to this Microline cart. Distortion is minimised and a rich, full sound is my reward. My only warning- if you are putting this on a Technics turntable like I did, don’t spend the extra for the pre-mounted cart as it is not correctly mounted for the Technics overhang. I learned this the hard way and had to unscrew it and spend an hour adjusting it to fit. Otherwise; no complaints!

I replaced an ortofone 2M Red with this cartridge and stylus combo. I am not an audiophile but I do thoroughly enjoy listening to my records. In my opinion this cartridge has the best sound I have ever heard coming out of my Audio Technica lp120 turntable. It was amazing to me that I heard sounds coming from my vinyl that I never heard before when using other cartridges. I was a little hesitant because of the price but can honestly say that this was money well spent in my opinion. Really loving my vinyl now more than ever.

Very easy to install. Just unscrew the old and screw on the new. It seems to be worth the money when compared to the original part. I like the way it sounds, certainly an improvement over the original, soundwise. Id certainly buy it again.

Easy to install. Sounds amazing!

Not an audiophile by any means but I can hear the significant difference between this 540 and comparative priced cartridges. Very clear highs and clean controlled bass. I have bought two of these for my vintage Pioneer Pl512 TT and up to date AT USB DD TT. I believe for this price range you will not be disappointed at all. Try it out.

I upgraded my cartridge from the VM95 series and am absolutely loving this upgrade. The audio is crisp, clean, and I am definitely excited for the longevity of the 540ML.
