> 3 dayThe first one I received had serious issues with the right channel and no adjustments I could make would fix it. I set up a return, and got a replacement. Im not a full on audiophile, but I enjoy listening to records and I look for the less expensive ways to improve playback quality. This one is a dream! Its tracking well on records that my original stylus had trouble with. The sound is clear and full. I havent been able to notice any inner groove distortion. This was a really good upgrade to my system and Im very happy I bought it. Some people claim it needs a break-in period before you get the best sound quality, but its already amazing out of the box.

> 3 dayVery easy to install. Just unscrew the old and screw on the new. It seems to be worth the money when compared to the original part. I like the way it sounds, certainly an improvement over the original, soundwise. Id certainly buy it again.

> 3 dayI have had this AT VM540ML cartridge for 3 weeks now and the sounds that it is drawing out of my album collection from the last 40 to 50 years is just amazing . I was going to upgrade the stylus on my AT120XUSB turntable to the AT VM95ML but I sprang for the 540 and it just keeps sounding better all the time .

> 3 dayBought a vintage Denon DP-30L turntable. It came with a cart that has no shielding so it picked up the hum of the direct drive motor and got louder the closer to the spindle it got. After a bit of research this cart kept popping up as a recommendation as a good fit for the Denon. When the cart came it was checked before installing. They did a great job of mounting the cart to the headshell. It was straight and the overhang was spot on. Installed on the Denon it is now the quietest TT Ive ever had. The sound is excellent across the full range and its not even broken in yet. Very good bass, highs and mids. Its the whole package. Ive spent more for a moving coil cart and this one is better both in price and sound.

Greater than one weekMy new Audio Technica AT-LP120XUSB turntable came with the stock AT-VMN95E elliptical stylus. Sounded great but I knew there was a better sound if I researched it. So after some research on the AT website, I realized for my listening profile, the micro linear stylus was the way to go versus the elliptical. The micro-linear provides much more surface contact with the record grooves. Once I swapped cartridges (the AT VM540ML cartridge & headshell came perfectly aligned... I checked it with a protractor), I was blown aways with the crystal clarity of the vocals and the separation of the instruments. The bass is pronounced and huge. The cartridge reproduces the sound that the producers wanted you to hear.

> 3 dayIf you are suffering from sibilance and IGD with your cartridge, especially if that cartridge is the Ortofon OM2 Red, then this is the upgrade you need. All the reviews and comments I read suggested that this would be the case, and indeed it is. No need to adjust the position of the cartridge on ths supplied headshell, as it was already the correct stylus distance for the Technics SL-1500C (compared side-by-side with the old cartridge). Fitted the new headshell, rebalanced the arm, set a tracking weight of 2.0g and the appropriate anti-skating setting, and then tried out a variety of albums and tracks that had been giving excessive sibilance with the Red. All gone. Some of my old records that I thought were beyond hope were sounding like new. It just sounds great and is well worth the money, although it would have been nice to get the stylus brush that is included among the accessories for the non-headshell version.
