Aurifil Mako Cotton 50wt Thread Solid Grey 1422 Yard

My go-to thread for most machine and hand project. I work in many colors and this is perfect neutral color with the quality that Aurifil offers.

Aurifil is the only brand I will use! It is a fabulous thread and when you compare the length you get for the price, its very comparable to other brands. These spools last a long time and you cant find a better quality thread. This grey is gorgeous too. I use it for piecing and quilting most darker fabrics. It blends in and almost disappears into so many different colors so that your fabrics really stand out. Its the best choice when trying to match it to many different colors. Definitely a staple color!

I was so happy to find this thread available on Amazon because when my old spool finally ran out I knew I wanted to replace it with the same brand and color and size ASAP! I almost bought the color “Dove” in this brand but my old spool was “Grey” so I didn’t want any changes. I use this to piece cotton for quilting projects. I use heavier weight thread to actually do the machine quilting. For those in the “know,” this thread is labeled “50/2” which means something to some people. Just not me! I know the 50 is lighter weight than 30.

I just Love Aurifil thread!!!

When I began quilting, after a 20 year hiatus, I kept hearing about this thread. I thought I would try it out. I did and it is wonderful. Great for piecing and machine quilting your quilt tops. This thread is versatile and durable. It comes in a wide variety of colors. The 1422 yard spool goes a long way.

My favorite for putting a quilt together. It works well in my Bernina where as other brands do not.
