Aurifil Mako Cotton 50wt Thread Solid Grey 1422 Yard

This is the only brand I use on my quilts.

When I first got this spool of thread, I was astonished at how small it was, I commented that it couldnt possibly have that much thread on it. I was told that it really did. I now believe it, also the stitches are beautiful, I have not had any problems with tension, it seems to be less lint. Its well worth the money, FYI, I highly recommend it.

Ive heard great things about Aurifil and I like the weight of this thread for my piecing, but honestly, it is more linty than the cheap quilting thread I was using by Coats & Clark. I wish I had bought a smaller spool to try it out.

I love this thread for piecing quilts and this color is great for a lot of different color fabrics.

This thread has a wonderful silky texture and the color seems to disappear when used in my quilting.
