I needed a surge protector for the multiple electronic devices for my dorm room and this surge protector has since done its job. Id buy it again if I ever needed another one. You get your moneys worth and as a plus, I like how the power button is at the end because with some of my older surge protectors, it was easy to accidentally shut it off with your foot, etc. sometimes. The length is just perfect for the room as well.

This is a basic surge protector to be kept close to the outlet. The 2.5 ft cord is a safety feature that helps to maintain electrical devices close to the outlet parallel to the wall where it is not a safety hazard.

Television channel in Houston reported many fire problems associated with this make of surge protector.
