> 3 dayI have used a good number of these units with the movable plugs and fixed 12 units . Most of the time with the surge comes in with the modem from your internet supplier. However a lot of the time the cable suppliers say that you cant put it through the cable interface surge. However I experienced a lightning strike that fried one whole side of the network. It fried the modem, router, wireless poes ( which fried the box, and blew off the plastic cover plates). The other side going through the other modem and router ( $350 new linksys 9500 was fine along with our other wireless access controllers were fine. The pbx system which I had not protected since it was not under my control otherwise I would have protected it. The power surge took that completely out. This strike was a once in a lifetime, but we lIve in the mountains. I have used a number of surge protectors over the last 40 year. APC was my choice for a number of year. They have not kept up with the joules , and quality. I have seen units ( not belkin melt down), but that is the nature of the beast. No matter what surge protector if it is strong enough, and is moving fast enough it will fry anything. My first experience in the IT industry was 40 years ago. I had a two outlet $250 unit get hit in a 3 story building ( in the bottom level ) It traveled down the wall and hit the unit on the top of it. It had 2 $15,000 computers. The unit melted down in on mode. The computers kept running. The company was a small home insurance company. They wanted to know if they could continue using it. I just said you paid your premium for last year, Not this year. Buy another. Dont expect with any unit that it is the end all.

> 3 dayI use this in my college dorm room and having 12 outlets help a lot. All the outlets are nicely spaced out so you can insert normal plugs in the middle row and bricks on the sides. I have all my electronics plugged in and charging in this thing, along with a small water boiler and electric pot. I dont use all the outlets myself but when friends are over for a study session I let them use this simply because its convenient to have. Hopefully this does stop all the random fluctuations in power that otherwise would end up running through my electronics, and I feel better having this if the power goes out and back on (it doesnt happen often where Im at, but nice to have). I do not expect this to stop a lightning strike, please have reasonable expectations. I think as long as you dont expect it to do what it doesnt advertise, its a good product.

> 3 dayIm not sure how ones really rates their satisfaction with a power strip...I mean, its not like its super exciting. But... this worked perfect for what I needed. I have 8 laptops and 6 tablets in my classroom, so my two power strips with six outlets each was no longer enough. This power strip fits all of my laptops, with a few outlets to spare! {Im hoping to fill it with a few more laptops in the near future}

> 3 dayIt secures your electronic devices from overload, short circuit, power spikes, lightning strikes, or fluctuations. Generally yes but somehow my PC power supply and motherboard fried during a fluctuating power grid due to a heavy thunderstorm. I have 2 other devices plugged into that surge protector that are perfectly fine.

> 3 dayThe cord length is very good for me, I’m fact I left the cable tie on it because I just use it at my desk. Something I definitely like about this one compared to my RCA large outlet strip is the fact that the plugs are adequately spaced apart so you can use many types of different plugs together without covering another plug. I will definitely be re-ordering this if I need another large outlet strip.

> 3 dayGreat power strip... needed to go hard powering all the gear in my home office and this baby is great... I can get a lot of power adapters in here with no problem. Wonder why it took me so long to get a surge strip like this.

> 3 dayAs a big technology fan who has also been working from home these last few months, I got lots of expensive tech gadgets around the house. This has been my favorite surge protector for the last couple years and I just recently bought 2 more to use for other areas of the house. The fact that you can close specific outlets when not in use to avoid dust is great. Also the flag plug makes this great for putting it behind tough to reach spaces.0
