Greater than one weekA good long cord, which lets me place this power strip on top of my desk. Lots of outlets for me to plug things into. Six of them are well separated for use by power blocks. Ive chosen not to use the wire organizer/guide at the left end, but I expect that will be useful for some people.

> 3 dayOur problem was two fold. We had a mass of wires coming out of a dual plug point in the wall. Each one of them with an multi plug extension cord. Second, we have a cat who likes to nibble wires. How this house has not burned down to the ground is a mystery.

Greater than one weekI love my parents, I really do, but Im putting it incredibly politely when I say that their cable management abilities are disturbingly abysmal. I have never seen so many powder adapters plugged into other power adapters in my life. I was surprised that the house hadnt burned down with the way they had their rats nest of a wiring system set up. Because of this, I knew that I needed to help solve their idiotic issue for them by simply getting a surge protector that had more than 3 outlets at a time. I took my searching to Amazon and I found exactly what I needed with the Belkin 12-Outlet Surge Protector.

> 3 dayI havent had any power surges to comment on yet but I just wanted a surge protector with space for the large power blocks I seem to have a lot of. Its great for that and the cable managment thing was a bonus, however its made upside down(for my use.) I have it mounted directly behind a flat screen TV, about 3 1/2 feet up the wall, with all the wires running downward through the cable managment piece. I measured the distance between the mounting holes(5 inches,) leveled it, laid out all the wires, ran them all over the office, then through the cable managment piece(which I love.) I installed the surge protector onto the 2 wall screws and wow, nice and neat! All of a sudden, BAM it falls off! Turns out, the mounting holes are built into this surge protector so the unit will be upside down if mounted on the wall. In other words, all the text printed on the unit and the power switch would be on the bottom of the unit, and that cable managment piece would be on top, making the surge protector look like Beeker from the Muppet Show! So if you are mounting this to a wall near the floor and all your wires going through the cable managment piece will run upwards, this should work fine, just keep in mind all the text will be upside down and the power switch will also be close to the floor.

> 3 dayI had an ordinary power strip, but my friend recommended i protect my $8000 investment into my audio setup with a surge protector, which seemed like a good idea.

Greater than one weekNot sure why charging power is a quality I was asked to rate as this merely acts as a conduit for electricity but does not supply electric in its own.
