You can’t tighten the helmet around head, just underneath strap.

My daughter loves this helmet. Its very easy for her to use. Shes 8 years old and it gives her plenty of room to grow.

This helmet is great- my daughter loves the colors. It’s easy to buckle. I don’t like that there is not a dial adjust for the head circumference. There is elastic to adjust, but helmet is just a little big for her. She will grow into it and then it will grow with her. Overall a good buy.

Fits my 8 year old pretty well. Id rather have a traditional headlock adjustment in the back though rather than the elastic that this helmet has. Yes the elastic is easier for children since it requires no adjustment but in a crash I feel like the helmet will not be locked in place during impact.

My five year old has an unusually large head, oblong, not at rounded as your average kiddo. I went to a local bike store and even though the sales people were great, their expensive helmets just didn’t fit his head shape. Even though it is not adjustable in the back like the Bell helmets my girls have, the elastic design works well and fits his head the way it should.

My grandson loves it. Easy to fit and adjust. Much better than his old one that he outgrew.
