We purchase this to replace some hardware that we used to hang a swing from our patio breezeway. When it arrived, I was surprised how big it is. Certainly a step up in terms of reliability from my old solution. Would definitely recommend for anyone whos looking for a solution to hang a swing or Hamic. Had a great forearm workout as the hardware that comes with it is a beefy.

Yes, I read the description. Yes, I knew they would be sturdy. Yes, I knew the dimensions. But still I was impressed! I ordered six sets of these while building a swing set for the kids. Watched the poor delivery guy load the box on a hand cart and bring it up the driveway. I think each hanger weighs 2.5 pounds. Other reviews I have seen the word overkill used. Theyre going to outlast me. I only had one small issue. I mistakenly thought a 1/2 lag bolt would fit through the 1/2 hole, and purchased hardware ahead of time. Maybe if I forced it. Used the recommended 3/8. I used 3 1/2 long lag bolts. Would have used carriage bolts but I dont have a drill bit big enough to drill through a 4x6, and didnt trust myself to drill a straight hole from both sides. I also sprayed a little lube on the bushings as they seemed to slightly squeak. Oh, and the carabiners are great. Held my (rather large) behind quite securely!

It is a real heavy duty hanger. Solid cast iron the whole piece. We used it to hang a 100pd punching bag on basement ceiling, 100% satisfied.

Hanging a porch swing near the edge of the porch. If the hangers fail someones going to get severely injured so I was concerned about safety. NOT concerned anymore. These things are solid and smooth. GREAT buy! Not sure if they will hold up my ex-wife but they will hold up 2 full grown cows. :-)

We’ve had the kiddos swing hanging from a tree and thought it was time to build a swing set. Initially I thought oh let’s just get I-hooks from the hardware store for cheap, changed my mind and got these. Gives me peace of mind knowing they have designed specifically for our needs and rated for much heavier weights.

First set purchased more than a year ago. They are strong and quiet. Adding a second set to use for a large, swinging sun bed.
