Used these for our DIY jungle gym. They feel like they could hold up a truck! We spaced them around every 16-18”, for ninja holds and to hold up this incredible safety net that the kids love falling into on purpose. :). My husband is over 200#, I’m 160# and we both swing around with the kids, the hangers are solid as a rock. Hardware is NOT included, but I think this makes sense as it’s best to purchase hardware specifically for your installation. It does increase cost depending on the bolts you use so just be aware of that. We used hex bolts that ran around $35-40 per box. We probably overbuilt this thing, but I’ll never have to worry about the structure if there are three rowdy kids playing chicken on the same monkey bar. :) I knocked off one star because the circles where you attach swings/etc are thicker than expected, and they’re slightly irregular from one anchor to the next. This means that if you want to replace the included carabiners with locking ones, its challenging depending on the opening and thickness of the carabiner. Even the thinner included carabiners were hard to attach on some of the anchors. That said, we made them all work. It’s just not super quick to switch out some of the holds based on which anchor it is. Not a dealbreaker, just a minor thing. Happy ninja-ing!

I have these mounted with 4.5 inch Lags and they work great so far. I drilled 3/8 holes so the lags would fit super tight and then coated the lags with heavy duty exterior glue in the hopes they wouldnt back out ever. Weve only had the swing up for a few weeks but so far so good. One slight problem though - if you plan to do these with a socket the bolt running through the unit is a bit long and you wont be able to get your socket around both at the same time. I had to do one side halfway, loosen this bolt and then do the other side halfway, and then complete the cycle to get both tightened firmly. If you are using a wrench of course this wont be a problem but with a 4.5 inch lag and driving into a 2 x 10 the long way I really didnt want to get a workout with a wrench. Not a big problem but if the bolt were 1/8 shorter a ratchet / socket would fit perfectly over the lags with no concerns. Only a minor issue to get the added security of a heavy duty hanger. But enough to not give it 5 stars - still a very safe product

First off, the swing hanger itself is great. Its heavy duty, and well coated to avoid any rusting. It comes with lag screws that can be used for a quick installation. However - here is the problem: Problem 1: The lag screws that it comes with have a cheap zinc coating on them - this would probably be fine if you are drilling into non pressure treated wood for indoor use. Given that this is meant for a swing set though, chances are that you are attaching the mounts outdoors to pressure treated wood. Pressure treated woo is highly corrosive and requires hot dipped galvanized screws/bolts to avoid corrosion. I initially installed the swing hangers with the stock hardware, and found that they started to rust and corrode after only a month. Problem 2: The lag screws are not a standard size, so you cannot simply swap these out for 1/2 hot dipped galvanized lag screws that you can get at Home Depot or Lowes. The holes in the swing hanger are too small to fit 1/2 hot dipped galvanized lag screws. So essentially you are forced to replace these almost 1/2 screws with 3/8 size hardware. Recommendation to the customer: If you are mounting to pressure treated wood, I recommend throwing out the hardware that comes with it, and replacing them with 3/8 galvanized bolts. I used bolts instead of screws because I had to size down and wanted the extra security of a bolt. Additionally, I already had the holes drilled for the almost 1/2 size screws so i could not use a 3/8 size lag screw. Some recommendations/ideas for the vendor: - Adjust the size of the holes in the swing hanger to accommodate 1/2 galvanized screws/bolts - Include galvanized hardware or dont include any hardware and tell the customer the size and type of hardware they should buy (likely galvanized if using pressure treated wood).

The instructions were hard to follow. I wasnt aware that if my joists were 16 inches on center (mine are) as apposed to 18 inches the instructions and product wouldnt work. Well we made our own work arounds and the product works very well, but we had to redial a couple of holes to get the screws through and we had come up with a way to use the product with 16 inch joist placement.
