> 3 dayI received this last week. I have cleaned 3 carpets so far. I have a handheld spot cleaner and a very large sanitaire machine that holds 6 gallons of water. This machine is so easy to use. In a weird sort of way, its almost fun to use. Its great for traffic areas that take a beating. Other reviewers mentioned the small tank size. For me, it wasnt a problem. At least the water stays hot while I am cleaning the carpet. If the suction stops working, it means the float has popped up and the machine will not suck up any more water. You need to empty the tank. You can hear the change in the sound of the machine when that happens. Also, make sure the top gray cap is pushed in all the way. Some people said they need two hands to push the machine because the handle doesnt move back. There is a lever to step on so you can pivot the handle back just like an upright vacuum. For the people that have leaks, make sure the ring around the float is not cross-threaded or loose and the cap on the clean water tank is screwed on properly and snug. Of course make sure you have connected both tanks to the machine properly. I snap down both handles on the dirty water tank at the same time when I put it back on the machine. Some tips: * Make sure you thoroughly vacuum first. Really. * Use very hot water from your tap. Dont boil water and use it. There is a max of 140 degrees listed on the clean water tank. * Use the smallest bit of carpet soap. Dont use laundry or dish soap. Add white vinegar to the clean water tank too. * If you have really dirty areas, you can use the machine without the dirty water tank in place. That way you can get a fair amount of cleaning solution into the carpet. Then attach the dirty water tank and suck it up. Dont get the carpet too wet. * After you are done, put only hot water (no soap) in the clean water tank and go over the carpet again. Leftover carpet soap residue attracts dirt. * To extract as much water as you can from the carpet, lean over the machine, loop your hand under the handle on the dirty water tank and push the machine while pressing it into the carpet. * Set up a box fan on high until you are sure the rug is dry. Dig your fingers into the carpet fibers to check. * After you are done cleaning, open the side gray cap and dump the dirty water. Unscrew the ring from the float assembly and clean the float too. Put the float and ring back together. Leave the side gray cap open. * I put the cap from the clean tank inside the cleaned out dirty water tank. Unscrew the ring on the float assembly so you can put the cap inside. I put a paper towel under the clean water tank and slid it back on the grooves so it can air dry. * Take the machine to your sink without the tanks. I was amazed how much cat hair and grit there was stuck underneath. Give the underneath a good spray and check the red rubber bar next to the rotating brush. * I put it up on two wood blocks so the bottom can dry. * Pet stains are a two part cleaning project. Theres the stain and theres the odor. For the odor, you need a pet enzyme cleaner. Follow the directions on the bottle. Your pet may go back in the same place again if you dont remove the odor. Their noses are lower to the carpet and better at detecting odors than ours so get down after the carpet is dry and give it a good sniff. *** Buy this machine. Your carpets are dirtier than you think***

> 3 dayThis isn’t a carpet shampooer, it’s a MIRACLE worker. Most of my house is tile and laminate but there is carpet in my bedroom, office and then there is this 7x10 rug in the living room. I purchased the rug secondhand on market place and it needed a deep clean. My other carpet cleaner stopped working and I was desperately in need for a fix for this rug (as you can see in the photos). I have three dogs that shed like it’s their only job on this earth. I literally vacuumed over this rug non stop for 25-30 minutes straight making sure that I got it as clean as possible before shampooing. AND YET the shampooer pulled up hair that the vacuum couldn’t quite get!!! Pros: - I love that it is light weight and doesn’t hurt my back at all to use. - It is super easy to put together/ very user friendly. - It obviously does the job it was intended to do. - A little spray goes a long way for each spot. - The suction was strong enough that my carpet was barely damp at all after going over it a few times. Cons: - The formula tank is small and I had to refill it a second time just doing the 7x10 foot rug. - I wish the cord was just a smidge longer. - It didn’t completely remove stain. (However it was ketchup and it did better than I expected. So honestly I can’t really be upset at this). Overall, this is a GREAT investment and for the price I don’t believe you can find a better product. Do yourself a favor and buy this one. I went back and forward on a different option before buying this and I am SOOO glad I did.

> 3 dayIf I had it to do over, I would buy a house with no carpeting but since that’s not an option and I have two big hairy, dusty dogs that I would not trade for the world, I am a regular consumer of carpet cleaners… none of them seem to last as long as I feel like they should and this one probably won’t either. I have had higher end, bigger carpet cleaners in the past but found them to be not worth the extra money. This one does an excellent job cleaning very dirty areas with only one pass to clean and then another to pick up water. It also picks up very well, carpet dries quickly, it is easy to handle. You can feel it sucking water out of the carpet, my last small Bissell was not this good and did not clean nor pick up water as well, I always felt like it was just floating over the surface. This one is both sturdier and weightier. Tanks are easy to remove and put back, dirty water tank is easy to empty but fills up fast, about as fast as the clean water tank empties-good for small spaces-lots of trips to fill and empty tanks! I have only used it to clean one room but it did an impressive job! A great carpet cleaner at a great price! Now we’ll see how long it lasts….

> 3 dayThis little, light weight carpet cleaner is amazing! Its small, compact, super easy to clean but does a wonderful job at cleaning. By the time I was finished with my area rug it was mostly dry. The suction and scrub power was great! I highly recommend!

> 3 dayI love this little powerhouse. It is light and easy to use. The amount of water picked up equals the amount put out. My carpets have not looked this good in a long time and the house smelled so nice after using it. I purchased a Hoover Smartwash 2 yrs ago. It stopped dispensing the soap after 1 yr. A part broke and I replaced it. The part did not fit properly and I could not suction water up with it. I did a lot of research before buying this Bissell and couldnt be happier. Bigger is NOT always better.

> 3 dayThis product is amazing. We just moved into our new apartment and after putting our area rug down from our old apartment, we noticed that our dog had soiled the same area repeatedly, but now we were able to smell the stench. I tried so many thing to get rid of it and finally bought this unit. Let me tell you, it did wonders and removed the pee stains and to our surprise, picked up so much dirt!!! Highly recommend this to apartment renters who need an apartment friendly carpet cleaner! 10/10

Greater than one weekI like this shampoo vacuum very much, it works great. and for what it cost it’s a great value for the money no complaints there. The one thing I dislike is the capacity of the dirty water tank, it doesn’t hold as much as you think based on appearance because the full line is only about 3 inches up despite the tank being much larger. I guess it’s designed that way to prevent liquid being sucked into the impeller itself, so the float valve stack has to be made tall enough. Despite that small inconvenience it’s a really good machine just take time and don’t go too fast so as to give the vacuum time to suck up as much liquid as possible out of the carpet, mostly in the pull back stroke, thereby reducing the time the carpet or rug will take to dry.

Greater than one weekI’m happy with this machine. It’s not heavy and it’s easy to use. It only took a minute to put it together. My only complaint is the reservoir is not larger enough for large jobs. Or, maybe I’m using too much water. It cleans well regardless
