Greater than one weekGot me up and running in no time! Local big box stores won’t carry an adapter like this, I guess because of liability issues, but if you’re sure of your wiring and equipment, this is a VERY SAFE adapter, for electrical service that has worked since electricity was invented!!!

10-06-2025Seriously! Thank you to whomever invented this. Saved us some money not having to replace the dryer and also not having to pay for handy work to change the outlet. Thank you thank you! Easy plug in and came quickly.

Greater than one weekI moved into an older house with a 3-prong outlet, while my dryer is newer and has a 4-prong plug. What I didnt realize is that there is more than one configuration for 4-prong plugs. I found one at Lowes, but it was for RV use and had the incorrect prongs on it for my situation. So my advice is to look as closely as possible at the photos for this or any other adapter, and meticulously compare them to what youre trying to connect to be sure youre getting what you need. This one was perfect for my needs.
