> 3 dayMuch better than just plain carbon. If you are unsure about getting the Elite version you need to understand that regular Chemipure does not have the phosphate reducing additive.

> 3 dayI have used this product for over 35 years. It is terrific and a must have. Note that this is the nano size, and I use it for 15 gallons. It is a fourth of the regular sized bottle. It is, however, nearly the same price ;)

> 3 dayWas having an issue with Red Slime in a very simple 40g fish only with live rock saltwater tank. Only has a small canister filter and power head for circulation. The red slime was quickly getting out of control, so I dosed the RedSea red slime remover first. It did ok, removed some but not all of the slime. So I added a bag of this to the canister. Within about 9 days all of the red slime is gone. Not a trace left of it anywhere.

> 3 dayThis didnt do anything to my tank. It didnt make my tank crystal clear like people claim it does. It also didnt remove phosphates or silicates from my water as I still had diatoms growing in my tank from the silicates in the water. Not sure what all the hoopla is about this product, but I wont be buying it again.

> 3 dayDid not help my aquariums water clear up. Barely fit in the filter. Was super messy. Wanted to return but I had thrown the container away.

Greater than one weekThis stuff works ok. It takes a lot of space and the carbon goes much faster then the other ingredients. Still I believe it is about the best for tank that does not have plants. if you have a larger filter a combination of separate bags like Purigen, Phosguard and maybe some carbon would work better where you could replace each separately as needed. It is a bit pricy but does the job pretty well.
