Brother QL-810W Ultra-Fast Label Printer with Wireless Networking

If you are not computer experts or really familiar with brother products, DONT buy Brother, his brother technical support is garbage

This printer does not work for bar code printing.

We bought this printer new and it came in a box where it looks like it was refurbished. We connected it to our system and the tickets were taking anywhere from 1-3 minutes to print (which is super slow when you have a full line of parents waiting to check in their child.) I went to ask for an exchange and it notified me that the printer was not eligible anymore for a return. I tried to contact the seller twice already and Ive gotten no response. Im hesitant to order a new one, but we really need it.

The wireless printing kept printing blank labels. I checked online and Brother tech support. They had extremely bad tech support. Nothing worked to fix this. I was so eager to use it, but what a waste of my time troubleshooting this. I’m very tech savvy, and I had problems with this.

Never worked the way it was advertised. Does not print from mobile devices that dont have cellular.

The labels this uses are not inexpensive, but the quality allows you to quickly do many things other label makers wont. For instance even around the house if you have a lot of storage like myself, there are some apps that allow you to create specific barcodes to print that will contain information and can be read by a phone scanner. For mailing labels its if you have a lot of outgoing packages for say a home business for Ebay, Amazon, or some other online sales and ship. If you have a number of like labels for products or other such things this prints them very fast, so its great for a business as well. You dont have to work with messy toner or ink like with some printers the labels use high quality thermal paper to print with. This technology has gotten much faster and more efficient than with the cheap computer printers it was used with 20 years ago, when they used thermal tape to print color on a white paper. Nice compact easy to use unit. The software could be a bit better, you can connect via WIFI so this does not require a direct cable link to your computer. Recommended for home and small business use.

Impossible to connect to my Wi-fi. Hours of time spent chatting with Brother support operators. They had me turn off routers and reboot several times, change firewall settings, etc.. Last I was told by them is that it is an issue with my internet provider, which is Comcast. Their resolution was that I either have Comcast handle it or use the USB cable. Fortunately Amazon refunded me most of the cost for this little shotty piece of technology well after the return date. This is old dated technology in a nice new package. I do need a label printer, and will be going through another company. Goodbye Brother.

Absolute nightmare never have I seen such a ridiculous nightmare of a setup . I spent the better part of a Sunday trying to figure the setup brother non existent help . I was even on the phone with Apple support trying to figure it out could not get it to work I would not recommend .

This label maker prints all the daycare bottle labels I need. Prints a weeks worth in a minute- took me 40mins EACH NIGHT to do this by hand. Those 40mins can now go towards something more productive like eating or sleeping or laundry or other basic life tasks.

For something that claim to be wireless it doesnt seem to read the printer. I called and had them set up with me. It printed one time after 1.5 hours on the PHONE... where the heck is the installation CD ( so much easier) Once i got off the phone closed the program i turned back on and of course cant get it to print. In the urgency of needing labels i hard wire to my computer and it prints for about 30 mins. Then cant detect the device. I feel that for something that should simply spit at labels this product is ridiculous and way to time consuming. Here i am needing labels for my in home biz and now need to hand write everyone. If you need simple label printing this is not the machine. Maybe once all set up correctly it might work but if you dont know how to install 4 different things to get this sucker to even work for mins this really is not for you. Looking for the box so i can return and hopefully in something less complicate Hopefully this helps
