Amazing little compressor. Builds pressure quick and is so quiet I couldnt believe it! Must buy!

I needed a lighter weight compressor to replace my 20 yr old twin tank Craftsman. This is both small and lightweight - so easy to carry - and as quiet as other reviewers have stated. Using it inside the house - brad nailers and finish nailers - and it has performed flawlessly. Runs up to pressure quickly and recovery is fast as well. Perfect for what I use it for but obviously not suitable for framing or roofing nailers, or other high CFM draw air tools.

Not your typical use case, but I bought this to toss in the back of my SUV when I go 4-wheeling, as I was tired of burning out the little 12 volt tire pumps that take forever to inflate a big all-terrain tire anyways. It fits easily in the back of a truck or SUV with plenty of space to spare, and runs just fine off of a 750-watt inverter from Harbor Freight. With a few hoses put together, it will fill two 32 tires from 15 psi to 40 psi in about 5 minutes, so I would expect it to air up all four in around 10, which is in line with the much more expensive hardwired 12-volt units, while lasting a lot longer due to slower motor speed and large fan. It is rated for 45 minutes of continuous run time, and was only slightly warm after filling two tires. The steel tank is noticeably heavier than its aluminum-tanked counterparts (Senco and Hitachi, specifically) and the roll cage is needlessly a few inches taller, but thats not a huge concern in my case. I can carry it around one-handed easily enough, and its going to stay in the back of my vehicle most of the time anyways. Actual power draw (measured with a kill-a-watt meter) is between 380-400 watts when running.

I like lots of things about this product and there is only one thing that makes it so I would not have bought it if I had to do it again. It is fine if all you have to blow up are small things. But, it is too small for large projects like a nail gun or blowing up a truck tire. The tank is small so keep that in mind when you are looking. I would have bought a bigger one for over time it would have much more usable than mine is.

Not exactly silent, but much better than other similar sized normal compressors. Great for learning to airbrush so far.

Super powerful for small jobs, not afraid of bigger jobs. Used for upholstery (hundreds of staples at a time). Used for adjusting car tires. Used for random air cleaning/drying. -> the seal is EXCELLENT - it keeps some pressure for months. -> its ready in seconds -> size and weight are super convenient -> noise level is perfect indoor in living space (but still too noisy to use while someone is zooming in the same room).

I do not take much time to rate consumable items and this is my first review in more than a year. I must tell you this item met 100% of my need. It runs fine with my framing nailer and is super quiet. I am not measuring decibels, rather making a general statement. I am 100% Completely Satisfied with this California Air Tools Air Compressor model 1P1060SP. Thank you much!

You can have this running in the same room and and almost not even hear it running. I can carry on a conversation and keep working. Weight isnt bad little heavy but i believe it is due the the frame. But it protects the pump and motor so I am ok with a little extra weight

Bought as a replacement for my Senco nailer used for trim work. This unit is considerably heavier and a litlle larger. Seems to put out more air. Love it.

This compressor is amazingly quiet. I live in a capital city on a major avenue and with the normal sound from outside I can barely hear this compressor when this thing is running. So I know this isnt bothering my neighbors either. I was skeptical before buying but OMG if you need a good compressor thats quiet enough to run and wont disturb neighbors or house hold members just get it. I currently use mine for resin casting in a pressure chamber and airbrushing. Perfect.
