Greater than one weekAs an airbrush artist doing paintings in my home studio compressor noise is a BIG DEAL. I usually stay up late at night and a standard compressor can wake the dead. This California air tools is hardly noticed.

> 3 dayI use the compressor for light duty wood working and occasionally inflating tires. My older unit (20 plus years) would cycle almost continuously and would not go over 75 psi. It was time for a new one. After checking several reviews I chose the California Air Tools CAT-1P1060SP Quiet Air Compressor as it was lower cost and had good reviews in particular was quieter than other units. Well it arrived sooner than expected as it not a light unit I thought it might take longer to arrive. With in minutes of unpacking I powered it up and noted it is quiet, not silent but definitely quieter than any other compressor I was used to. My wife who was watching TV was not bothered by my playing with the compressor. The unit quickly came up to 125 psi. I shut it off and carried to the basement where I would use it the next day. The next day I went down to the basement and found that the pressure had not dropped for the night before, there were no leaks, I was not at alll used to that. Yes, I am very happy with this unit for the light duty use I expect to do with it (mostly 23 gauge nail gun).

> 3 dayWe had a larger compressor, this one is so much easier to use. Love the small size and quieter noise level. Its easy to set up and put away.

Greater than one weekI set this product up in my garage for general use. Work Bench, Tires, Stuff, What I found out right away is that if your using this product for like a nail gun, it works just fine. It does not work well on its own when you need a little more than a quick puff of compressed air. I purchased an extra 5 gal air tank and added it to the system. This gave me more volume when using. Good product, Very Quite, It is not fast but does a good job. If I had to do it over again I would by the same product but with more air volume.

> 3 dayI purchased this because it was supposed quite, compact and only weigh 29lbs. It is quiet once you put the filter on it, it is not 29lbs the ship weight shown on the label is 36lbs. The product description shows 29lbs then if you scroll down and read all the details it discloses the unit weighs 34lbs. Id say its between 34-36lbs which is my first reason for 4 stars. It builds pressure quietly and quickly. My second reason for 4 stars because the first one I was shipped was used and must have been a return. The box was taped over about 4 different times and one of the rubber feet on it was split. Im annoyed by this since I had to box it all back up and waste my time taking it to a UPS store and wait for another to be delivered. Amazon sent me another no charge, it was brand new never opened this time. The hose connection fitting on the replacement leaks air when a hose is not attached which is my 3rd reason for 4 stars. I did contact California tools and they replied promptly the part is in the mail. I appreciate them stepping up and making right. Overall I am happy with the performance of such a small compressor.

> 3 dayWorks exactly like youd expect, its ridiculously quiet, which is awesome. I have one complaint to the design team though - guys come on, theres got to be a way you can add some sort of power cable holder to it. Heres another idea while im at it - add a way to store a small coiled up hose. As it stands now, I have to shove the power cord and the hose into the housing before I carry it around. And since I carry it around all the time, this gets annoying. You could call it the CAT-1P1060SP+ and sell it for like 2 bucks more. Cheers!

> 3 dayMy old porter cable pancake compressor was loud enough to wake the dead...to say nothing about the rest of the neighborhood. This guy has a much smaller tank, but is very quiet and perfect for my occasional needs...tire filling, nail guns, etc. Its way too small for running a spray gun, drill, sander, or anything else that needs a sustained, substantial air flow. If you have modest air needs and value your sanity, you should put this unit high on your list. If you need greater air volume, there are larger models from California Air Tools that are also quite quiet.

> 3 dayI bought this to use in my computer repair shop instead of going through those costly air cans. This compressor pumps fast and was so quiet I couldnt believe it. Been using it now for a couple months and works like a champ, would highly recommend to anyone that needs silence in their shop, and needs to blow air or pump some tires up. Doesnt have enough power to run air tools at this size, but they have larger compressors that I am sure would work for that particular use case.
