Greater than one weekThe decibel ratings do not lie! This is, by far, the quietest compressor I have ever heard! I got the 1P1060SP, so it is a smaller unit, but for small to medium size nail guns this is great! You can actually have a conversation while the compressor is running. Also, it re-fills very quickly, so its not running for very long! I seriously cannot believe I used a standard, noisy compressor for so long!

> 3 dayIf you dont need a high flow rate and just need to power some tools, this is the perfect compressor.

Greater than one weekNo visible damage to the outside packaging, but two different units arrived damaged. The control switch area had been smashed in and a visible mark was on the side of the metal housing bending it back to the point the on/off switch would drag against the side. Very quite when running, but I didn’t pay for a damaged unit. Sent it back for a return. Second unit arrived and had damage to the front left side in front of the tank. Looked to be dropped. Dented and cracked paint. It ran, and was quite, but turned on and off more than the first. Seemed like it had a leak somewhere. Again, I bought a new unit, not a damaged one. So, I returned it as well and ordered a different brand with similar noise level ratings.

> 3 dayI used to own a pancake compressor that would frighten my dog when it kicked on. This thing is quiet, well built, and is an awesome deal. Ive only used it to shoot nails, but I did quite a few. It worked with zero faults and it even fills fast. Under a minute from no air in the tank to full. Its solid and well built. I feel like it weighs slightly more than my porter cable pancake compressor, but theyre real close in weight. I thought the 1 gallon size would be too small, but it fired off nails as fast as I could pull the trigger. This is totally worth the ~$115 I paid for it. If I get another compressor, Im going with a California tools one. I love what theyre doing.

> 3 dayUsed to blow dust/dirt out of RV A/C fins. Worked great. Also, used to quickly air up my RV tires. Light enough to carry on the road.

> 3 dayThis unit is great for the noise level, size, and maneuverability. However, in a relatively short amount of time (about 6 months) with few uses, I have started having issues with the auto shutoff. It will continue to fill and hit the manual over pressure safety switch to blowoff pressure. I have to manually shut the unit off to stop the compressor. Still useable but a little frustrating.

> 3 dayI do not take much time to rate consumable items and this is my first review in more than a year. I must tell you this item met 100% of my need. It runs fine with my framing nailer and is super quiet. I am not measuring decibels, rather making a general statement. I am 100% Completely Satisfied with this California Air Tools Air Compressor model 1P1060SP. Thank you much!

> 3 dayIt’s small. It’s lightweight and easy to move. It’s quiet. It’s fills and refills quickly. I can use it at home, at night, while everyone in the house is sleeping with no issues whatsoever.

> 3 dayI have returned this after one use. Using an air hose to blow sawdust the tank was drained in about 15 seconds while I got a good 120 psi for about 5 seconds. I called customer service to see if there was some instruction I was missing and all that was available were a list of selections like, press 2, press 3. Could not get someone on the line so I shipped it.

> 3 dayI had a 1 cu ft pancake compressor that lasted 8 years, then died, so I got this one. I love how quiet this is. I use it as a pressure source for the foot-lift on a commercial sewing machine, so it is inside. It is very quiet while building pressure, and maintains pressure for a long time, so doesnt have to cycle often for my purpose. It doesnt vibrate much, but does walk around a bit on a vinyl tile floor. I definitely recommend it.
