> 24 hourI see that we have owned this since early March, 2009, nearly six years. We sell online and do a lot of printing. This printer has served us well. We actually own another. its a good thing... I had an error message just now. The Ink absorber is full. Who knew? I have researched the steps. It is kind of a dirty job. And the counter must be reset. The information is freely available online. The new part is only available from Canon. Here on Amazon they sell six models. I was unable to determine which one is for this machine. Here is a middle-priced one: http://www.amazon.com/Sparepart-Canon-ABSORBER-SHEET-QC1-0049-000/dp/B001U0AM0C/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423692732&sr=1-4&keywords=canon+ink+absorber It is $38 plus $35 to ship it... say WHAT? For a little sponge thing?? Oh, and one is $524: http://www.amazon.com/Sparepart-Canon-Waste-Absorber-QM1-0659-000/dp/B0077JQSXK/ref=sr_1_5?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1423692732&sr=1-5&keywords=canon+ink+absorber They >cant< be serious. *Sigh.* Good thing we have another similar one that hasnt seen much use. We will switch them out.

> 24 hourI replaced a HP printer with this Canon printer because of all the favorable reviews this printer had, and am so sorry I did that! I have to have the printer on my desk, and with this printer, for each new page Im printing, I have to stand up to place the paper into the slot at the back. With the HP printer, I could stay seated for all the paper feeding. As if that isnt enough of a problem, each time I put a new paper in the printer for printing, I must hit the processing button, and each time that has to be done, it takes between 25-30 seconds (I counted them) before the printer starts up, again. When you are printing a long document, this takes way too much time! I cant understand why any of the other reviews are so positive- how I wish I had just gotten a new HP printer!

> 24 hourPros: Pretty good printer for the price. I needed an inexpensive printer with a small footprint to take along on RV trips and this one fits the bill. Price for ink is OK. Excellent copy funtion and very good scanning. Photo printing is OK but not as good as my MP610 with individual ink tanks and 1 picoliter print head. Cons: Looks like a roaster oven. No individual ink tanks for color. Very noisy. Construction a bit flimsy but fit and finish is good, like all Canon products.

> 24 hourI was looking for an inexpensive photoprinter for a member of the family and purchased this printer, having always been satisfied in the past with Canon products. I found the Canon MP480 to function quite well in both scanning and printing. Installing it was no problem. Very glad I purchased iot and the price cannot be beat. David

> 24 hourThe printer is good for what I need but it has a couple small issues. The display screen will not open all the way. Additionally, the paper feed is intermittent and registers no paper when there is actually paper. All and all for the price, it will suit my needs fine. I have experience with Canon printers so I can trouble shoot these issues when they arise.

> 24 hourThe Canon MP480 is a good all-in-one. It scans really well, prints well, and is easy to use. My only gripe is that it sucks ink like an old pickup sucks gas. The Canons XL size cartridge lasted a shorter time than the refill size on my old printer did. If you get this printer, my recommendation is to use it to print things you absolutely have to have at home and forget about printing photos. Photos will drain the cartridge dry in nothing flat.

> 24 hourI couldnt believe that his printer/copier/scanner performed so well for such a small cost. It is a superb value and a most satisfying printer, easily installed and works like a charm. It has my full endorsemant. Bravo to Canon and Amazon.

> 24 hourReceived this printer with the I-Mac. We like the features e.g., copy & scan. However, as noted in other reviews, this printer eats up the ink. If we were printing more B & W, I definitely would consider a laser printer.

> 24 hourA great product at a great price. Canons service was exceptional when the first machine was a dud; they sent another right away. The second machine works fine. Ive heard this from another MP480 customer. All is well with both purchases.

> 24 hourI have had this printer for several years. I am amazed how long it lasts without giving problems. Just recently, the only difficulty is that is not compatible with Windows 10. So, in other words, my all-in-one Canon worked fine until... the arrival of Windows 10. Anyway, it seems that there is a solution and I am going to find out tomorrow from Canons technical support. If I get a solution I will edit my post to share the solution. I just wanted to finally write a well deserved good review for this good product.
