> 3 dayThe first one I received didnt work right out of the box. A new one was sent which is fine. It is an attractive unit, however, in order to keep a supply of paper in it, you must open the top and front for operation which spoils the looks. I dont use it too much, so I just keep paper elsewhere and keep the unit closed.

Greater than one weekAs soon as I opened the box I removed the printer and set it up. I immediately discovered that the paper tray was detached and broken. I then tried to print and found that the flashing yellow light indicated a problem that could not be repaired. I had previously owned two identical printers, and wanted one just like it. The manufacturer has discontinued the model, which is why I purchased the used Canon printer. The previous two Canon printers that I had owned had the same problem. I took each of them to two technicians and both of them told me that they could not be repaired. Why did the seller send me a printer that did not work from the beginning? Of course I had prepaid for my order, using a credit card. When I reported to the seller that the machine was not working he quickly offered to refund my purchase price. We had been communicating through the Amazon e-mail process. I waited to receive the sellers check and nothing happened. When I inquired he then asked me to return the nonworking printer and THEN he would send a refund. I complied with his request. I wrapped the printer carefully and sent it by UPS immediately. When I tracked UPS I learned that it was delivered to the owner at his home. STILL there has been no response from the seller, and no refund! I have documented all our correspondence.

03-06-2025I bought this about 18 months ago and it still works fine. My reason for purchasing was wanting to have both my printers use the same ink cartridges and my research showed this model did. Amazing how ink cartridges are not standardized, even within a manufacturers models. This model was out of production, but found it on Amazon! Buying bulk cartridges makes more sense this way. Wouldnt it be a great selling point if one of the printer companys offered a standardized cartridge for all its printers? If not all, then at least a long running set of models. Good little printer for the price.

> 3 daySo me and the wife are in the Walmart and come across this printer for 30 bucks.......and Im thinking....whats the catch. So we pull out the Treo and consumer search it and its reviews are pretty good. Now understand if you put in low quality picture at this resolution it will look like its supposed too......LOW QUALITY. But the higher resolution pictures look unbelievable. They do not include the USB to Firewire cable and you only find out when you get home. It doesnt even tell you on the box that you need the firewire. Luckily I had one. The pictures look amazing on the Glossy II paper and since I work at a print shop with Half Million Dollar machines.....I can say this printer is Explosively Bang for your Buck. It comes with 4x6 photo paper and I will be cutting the 8.5x11 down to save some money. GREAT PRINTER

> 3 dayIve only used this printer a couple of times, but so far I love it. I love the overall appearance of the printer. The ink cartridges were a little hard to get in the first time, I almost gave up. Print quality is better than the previous printer I had. Very easy to set up. It does take awhile for it to begin printing documents, I wait almost a minute before it begins to print. Overall for the price and quality of printing, I would give this computer a B.

> 3 dayI bought this because it was cheaper and easier than to get my broken one of the same model serviced, plus I had a few of the ink cartridges and I didnt want those to go to waste. The printer works as stated and is a great basic printer for anybody. I received the item quickly and with no issues. Great transaction!

> 3 dayI bought this printer in 2009 before college, and boy did I love it! I still do love it, and I plan to take it with me to grad school. I am sure in the past 5 years of use, this printer did stutter and jam several times... but for the most part, my impression of my printer is a positive one. I got this for less than $100, so I think I got this for a bargain. I guess the price went up. This printer is not the fastest, but it got the job done. You have to manually manipulate the papers and printing settings to get double-sided printing (which I made mistakes with several times). The printing quality was very much sufficient for essays and lecture notes with images. I am too cheap to use expensive ink to print photos with this, but I am sure people liked it for its intended purpose. It is loud when it prints, so if you live in a 3-person, tiny dorm room like I did freshman year, late-night printing would be a bit rude. Love this printer, and i hope I can keep using it!

> 3 dayFor the price, its worth it. Pros: - Decent quality. - Price: I bought mine from Wal-mart for $29.95. Cons: - NO paper tray. Which means that once it is done printing each page, that page will fall to the floor. - Ink. I spend $35 per set (1 color, 1 black cartridge). They dont last long. I had a 250 page report to print out (no color, all black and white text) I put in brand new cartridges before and did not get through the entire thing. So it took me 2 of each to do 250 pages. I know other brands like HP you can get more out of for less money. Do the research before you buy. Look at the cost of the printer AND the cost of the ink. If the manufacturer does not tell you how many pages each cartridge will print; keep looking.

> 3 dayI picked one of these up at Walmart years ago and have been happy with the quality of the prints, (though as others have stated, it does drink a lot of ink!). The main problem I have had started about a year after I got it. I dont use it very often, either. The front door ALWAYS triggers an error message that the door is not open and stops printing. This happens EVERY TIME, and the DOOR IS MOST DEFINITELY OPEN. I eventually have to actually sit next to the printer and hold the door down with force, in order to get the printing done. I have searched and havent found many other cases of this happening, so I have no idea what the issue is. I was always going to try to trick the sensor, but never got around to it. The quality is good, but I will probably go with an Epson next time around. I had Epsons first model color ink jet printer and it was a beast! Huge, heavy, and very expensive. But you know what? Even when I finally put it out to pasture when it was 12 years old, it still worked! It was a real workhorse. No more Canon printers for me.
