We found the print to be good but the printer tended to feed two or more pieces of paper at a time. We couldnt figure out how to correct this.

The Canon Pixma IP2600 / 2600 is a P.O.S. It prints super light, as if the color in was watered down. You get what you pay for. Pay $25 more and get the 4600 and youll be satisfied, but research the ink costs in advance. Also look at generic ink distributors.

I bought this printer recently, and every time I print anything it feels like Im chugging a mountain dew while snowboarding down the Rockies on a snowboard thats actually a lightning bolt, and its as if someone transplanted the Rockies into some extreme combination of Disneyland and the worlds largest half-pipe, with girls in bikinis cheering me on at all sides, and theyre all just shouting my name and telling me how great I am for picking such an awesome thing to print and we all cant stop drinking mountain dew but theres an endless supply so its okay.

Great little printer for the money, but the cartridges do not last very long. They offer larger cartridges, but theyre pretty expensive too. When I went back to the store to get more ink cartridges, I realized that buying a new printer (which comes with cartridges and a small pack of photo paper) was about $4 less than buying the replacement cartridges. I felt a little guilty since its such a waste of resources (environmentally speaking), but thats Canons stupid fault for pricing things the way they have. Do they really think were not going to notice that the replacement ink cartridges cost more than we paid for the printer? Corporate America doing what it does best...wasting money. Had the two cartridges cost $25, I would have saved myself five bucks and gone on with my life. So I reluctantly bought another printer for $30 instead of paying $34 for the two little replacement cartridges. How could I not? That said, Im not the type to keep buying printers and putting them in closet or throwing them in the dumpster, so Ill be looking for an alternative soon, preferably from another company...but for the meanwhile, this one does the job just fine. Its just the principle that puts me off. Everything about the printer is great...looks awesome sitting next to my iMac too.

I bought this about 18 months ago and it still works fine. My reason for purchasing was wanting to have both my printers use the same ink cartridges and my research showed this model did. Amazing how ink cartridges are not standardized, even within a manufacturers models. This model was out of production, but found it on Amazon! Buying bulk cartridges makes more sense this way. Wouldnt it be a great selling point if one of the printer companys offered a standardized cartridge for all its printers? If not all, then at least a long running set of models. Good little printer for the price.

Ive had this for a bit over four months ands use it infrequently. I had expected it to dry up between uses - it doesnt. It prints every time and prints well. If it were lost, Id buy another. Less than five stars because it is slow.

The start up process is a little bit slow from the start but print quality; I cant complain on that. The sounds coming from the printer sounds unsettling at first but soon quiet down once the machine ready for business. Overall this particular printer performs with the best of those more pricey models that print quality comes up far short in comparison.

Waste of time & money. I got this printer because I just needed a home printer to print out maybe 10-15 pages a MONTH. Not a lot. The cartridges that came with it didnt last long, but I expected this as the ones they include are usually smaller capacity. Since the replacements were almost as expensive as the printer, I refilled the cartridges, and they worked fine. About 2 weeks later, I went to print again, and the printer said both carts were of ink... they werent. Apparently, the cartridges have a chip on them that tells the printer they are out of ink, regardless of how full they actually are, making it unable to print. Another way to make sure you spend dollar after dollar on refills from Canon. I used to like Canon... I always thought their prints looked better than HP or Epson. But this move just smacks of greed.

I bought this printer a couple of years ago in college for $30 bucks and it the best one i have ever owned. My parents buy a new fancy one it seems every two years and they always break. This one is simple and reliable.

Good Product for the Price, but if you plan on printing allot, you may want to consider a higher end printer.
