this is the perfect set for a beginner. It comes with all sizes of needles to fit 1 strand of embroidery thread, 3 strands, or even a full 6 stranded thread. These needles are great for fine embroidery work. The eyes are big enough to thread easily. (I have bad eyesight, but I use the available needle threaders.) The various sizes make it possible to choose different sizes of thread. Excellent product and value.

They hold floss for pulling thru cloth. They work as intended.
