Greater than one weekMy whole house is quickly becoming automated with these smart devices, all centered around the SmartThings hub. I started by outfitting all of my light switches with ZWave specific devices. I have a number of other devices as well such as door sensors, locks, etc. I still had a few lamps around though that werent on switches, so I got these smart plugs to control those. These outlets and nice and small with a flat front. Perfect for hiding behind bookshelves. Its worth noting that these outlets use the Zigbee protocol as opposed to ZWave, but both are fully supported by SmartThings. I had no issue getting these to join my network. Simply plug it into the wall outlet, then in the SmartThings app, let it find any new devices. It came up almost instantly. If you are not a SmartThings user, supposedly you can just plug these in and have Alexa discover and control them. Ive not had a chance to try that. Once you add these to your hub, the possibilities are endless. Currently I have these lamps come on automatically at sunset each day. You could also automate turning these on when someone arrives home at night, etc. Great little devices. Not to mention the 12 months replacement/refund warranty on defective items. Would definitely purchase again when needed.

Greater than one weekI like zigbee products because it is a mesh network and it doesnt take up bandwidth from the wifi. As I build out my zigbee network it will become stronger and stronger. Soon my network will overtake my neighborhood and then the neighborhood coffeehouse. I will be the envy of this city.

> 3 dayI bought a bunch of different versions that claimed to work with Samsung Smartthings. They either didnt work or required an additional intermediary app. These ones however, worked perfect with Smartthings.

19-11-2024All in all, not a bad product. Integration with Smart things goes well once you figure out what to call it (some instructions included with the device would have helped, but easy to Google). Once installed, seems to be solid. My only gripe is that the LED on the side is obnoxiously bright. Makes it impossible to use in a bedroom or dark environment without tape. Would have been a better product with no LED at all.

21-11-2024I got these to uses as repeaters on my ZigBee network. I am using home assistant (ZHA). The system found them quickly and joined the network. but it is not stable will only stay on the network 3-4 seconds before it drops, then it will come back and drop again. Completely unusable.

> 3 dayThe outlets would pair up but would show up as an unknown device and not able to be used, although it would show up under my smartthings account. This was with the new Smartthings app. The 2 outlets did show up using the old Smartthings app and were fully functional. To fix, I had to use the migration function within the old app, then they showed up on the new app. Apart from that, they seem to be working well controlling my xmas lights.
