> 3 dayRecently bought the Copilot S 20, replacing my LuggageWorks Pilot bag 22. My international travel has increased, and the LW bag is quite heavy and really built for carry-on only - its been checked but always worry about the handle extending and the extra bag hook causing problems. (never did, however). I took the Copilot on an inaugural trip to India this past 9 days. Had to check it mostly, as Indian carriers and others flying into India have a weight restriction of 8 KG for carry-on, and mine topped in at 12 KG. No worries, though, the bag is a champion. Once reaching the US on the return, I used it as a carry-on and it fits so very nicely in the overhead. As far as space, this bag is deceptively big. I packed a suit, another pair of pants, 5 dress shirts, two casual shirts, extra pair of shoes, workout gear, and toiletries of course. Im 61, so had to fold suit coat and pants a bit more than normal, but that wasnt a problem at all especially using my anti-wrinkle trick of dry cleaning plastic. Bag wasnt bulging at all! even brought back some souvenirs that fit a bit snug but no stress on zippers. Seriously love this bag so far, and anticipate it will hold up nicely. Ill put my LW bag on ice for awhile. Nice job Timbuk2.

20-11-2024Handle broke after four months. Their Service Department was UNRESPONSIVE except by email on their timeframes. No phone number is available. Ive been without my bag for 5 weeks with no communication from them about when except some weeks more. Better buy two if you travel much to have a spare.

> 3 dayTypical Timbuk2 excellent design and execution, is disappointingly -- or deceptively? -- not sized as indicated. The Mediums measurements are shown on the website to be measured from floor to top of handle, which is the correct way to measure (e.g., from Uniteds website: The maximum dimensions for a carry-on bag are 9 inches x 14 inches x 22 inches (22 cm x 35 cm x 56 cm), including handles and wheels.). However, when measured properly, this bag measures just over 23 -- that is, its not in compliance. The bag was not measured by Timbuk2 including handles and wheels, even though the graphics on their site seem to show that it was -- instead, the measurements are for the bag only. If you get this bag for domestic travel, you might be forced to check it (for that matter, if you get the small for international travel, its not in compliance either). Timbuk2 is far from alone in using deceptive measurements, the majority of bagmakers seem to do the same.

Greater than one weekGreat carry on size (small). Like with all timbuk2 products, great quality build.

> 3 dayThis is an excellent piece. Timbuk2 generally has rock solid quality and this bag is no exception. the XL size is very accommodating. I packed two weeks worth of gear into this bag for a recent work trip... so a mix of work attire, workout gear and casual stuff. No issues at all. Probably had room for more!

> 3 dayLove this bag - best for carry-on. Fits in the overhead perfectly. Skateboard wheels give a smooth quiet roll.

> 3 dayExtremely high quality and very functionally designed. Super quiet wheels. Easy to organize. Can pack a lot in a small space. 4-year update: still my go-to bag, still holding up after a lot of abuse and many, many flights.

Greater than one weekWorks great for weeklong transatlantic travel if you know how to pack lightly. Fits without problem in overhead compartments and has come through unscathed when checked. Well thought out compartments and rolls easily through airports.
