Ive had this bag for 3 months now. I got it to protect my computer from damage, but wasnt certain it would do the trick. Most bags I read about look slick but dont protect the computer well. Im happy to say this bag is well designed and protects my 17.3 inch HP Envy laptop quite well. I dropped the bag holding my computer from a distance of about three feet and it fell on a corner. The bottom of the bag is quite thick, with multiple layers including one of leather (I think its leather). I was afraid my computer would crack, but it didnt. One corner is very slightly bent so I know it took a blow, but the bag protected it as well as can be expected, and the computer is fine. The bag has lots of good pockets and can hold quite a bit. The backpack feature can be handy too, but understand that the bag looks kind of boxy on your back. Its a handsome bag, but if youre looking for something you can take when you interview at Goldman Sachs, this might not be for you. Nevertheless, I recommend the bag highly.

I needed a good back for my 2 mac laptops plus additional harddrives, media, and storage. This thing is sturdy and quality made. Plenty of room. Im totally impressed and glad I decided to go with the bag. Ive already used the backpack feature a few times.

This bag is nearly perfect. There is good sturdy padding all around the laptop compartiment, Including the bottom. Between the leather and the fabric quality material, there is more than enough cushion at the bottom to protect your laptop in case you drop it in a careless manner. When the bag is used in messenger mode, the backpack straps provide an additional layer of padding (as if you needed it, which you dont, cuz there should a already enough padding). I got my computer, a change of clothes, some paper work documents and plenty of accessories. The Mashed zippered compartment inside is ideal for phone accessories, etc. The most impressive part is how its impossible to tell its a convertible bag. When I demonstrate it turns into a backpack, ppl had no idea. This feature is convenient for times when a trip is longer and you need to brong a suitcase. That way I use the backpack mode and leave my hands free to get my way thru the airport. Great padding, business look, good quality, spacious and versatility make this bag perfect for what I need it. Strongly recommend this bag for business especially if you travel.

Ive had this bag for just over 14 months now and use it on my daily bike commute to work. Pluses - it has great storage and compartments, with deceptive amounts of room for items such as a laptop, clothes and a bunch of smaller pouches for just about anything. The design is great. So whats not to like? Well, I use it more like a backpack (rather than the optional shoulder bag) and it just hasnt held up. Ive had one strap repaired once by a local repair place and the strap is starting to come apart at the seams again. Could I be overloading? Perhaps. But for a bag to get high ratings, its gotta do the miles and hold up better than this. For anyone who commutes to work by train, bus or car, or travels by plane often, it truly is a versatile bag that may be perfect. It just hasnt held up for me.

I am not a backpack person, but years of lugging a bag on one shoulder I needed a different way. I like this better than an average backpack. Since it converts to a regular briefcase style, it is easy to retrieve papers and files. They are topside up, things dont disappear in the bottom like a backpack. It has lots of room and very durable and stylish.

I bought this laptop bag for my fiance, and he loves it. He rides a motorcycle, so the backpack mode is extremely important for him. But when he has more formal meetings, he can change the bag into a satchel. The canvas has proved durable so far- the only thing I can imagine wearing is the pleather finishes in the future.
