> 24 hourCOOLNEON’s offering of 3/8-inch by 12-inch brass rod arrived packaged in a nice plastic tube. The rod was straight, with a smooth finish and the correct dimensions. I mounted it up in my lathe and tested the material for machinability. There were no issues. This rod is destined to make brass highlights for my metal projects.

> 24 hourCut flush, not beveled as suggested by some of the photos in the product description. Needed a good polishing, but otherwise smooth and straight. Packed in a nice protective shell. Will work well for my project.

> 24 hourThese are accurately made solid brass rods for hobby and craft applications. Endless possibilities for any place you want a nice yellow brass accent for a build. Easily bent and worked and they shine up beautifully. I got these in 1/8 - inch diameter for use as pins/rivets for smaller knife handles, but I know Ill have other uses as well in the future-- maybe levers or push rods for automata? Also got the two other sizes and all were beautifully finished well made yellow brass rods. Priced affordably.

> 24 hourVery high-quality brass stock. Micrometer shows .499-.500 diameter, and consistent for the entire length. This material can be used for turning drifts and punches. Comes in a protective plastic tube, polished, with a fine finish. This would make good stock for turning bushings of less than 1/2. If you make things with metal, this is a very good piece of stock for your bench. Good price, also.

> 24 hourThe diameter of these brass rods is accurate when measured with a micrometer. Excellent, easily machinable round-stock material for light duty shafts, pins, etc.

> 24 hourI got this to use it as a brass drift for driving bearing races out of wheel hubs. I know that the ends will mushroom eventually and the business end will deform, but this will be easy to reshape as needed. I did a number of hammer strikes via the drift to the anvil on my vice. Even with solid strong hits, the ends did not deform. Seems to be a strong, not mushy brass. Even though this is a bit off label, it works well for my needs.
