Corel Painter Essentials 5 Digital Art Suite for PC and Mac (Old Version)

For some reason this item caused my drawing tablet to stop working.

Painter Essentials 5 is a drawing and painting program thats designed to simulate the effects of textured paper and brushes, so you can produce realistic art. There are a few good, unique things about it, but theres also a few issues I encountered. Just so you know, Im a Photoshop Elements gal. Ive used PSE for all my website graphics, as well as photographs and hobby art. Thats what Im used to, and thats what I compared PE5 to.

Given a gift to daughter who loves to draw. This program has allowed her to expand to other type of artistic endeavors.

This is a great starting point if you want to see what you can do and if you really want to put effort into art.

Bought it for a Christmas gift. Love it. Works great with the drawing tablet.

Good but old school out dated

Just got my Corel painter essentials 5, & it will not load on my desktop or my laptop with windows 10.

So far I am having fun with this. I totally agree with another reviewers comment that you can take a good photo and made it bad, or a bad photo and make it worse, but there is something almost addictive about playing with the tools and manipulating the pictures. I can see why the internet is flooded with these kinds of pictures.

Corel painter is so much fun. The kaleidoscope and particle brushes are at the heart of whats new and different in painter. User friendly and easy to import/export
