Running the stock ram (8GB) plus this 16GB kit for a total of 24GB. My iMac now runs like a dream.

INSPECT RETAIL PACKAGING, OPEN IMAC COVER PLATE, OPEN TO LATCHES, ROTATE TOWARDS ME, SLIDE RAM IN PLACE, PRESS FIRMLY TO ENSURE SEATED, ROTATE LEVERS TILL BACK ENGAGED, REINSTALL COVER PLATE, PLUG ALL PLUGS BACK IN, POWERUP (TOOK JUST A BIT LONGER), AFTER BOOT CLICK APPLE AND THEN ABOUT THIS MAC, CLICK MEMORY. DONE DEAL IN UNDER 15 MINUTES. WOULD BUY IT AGAIN ALL DAY EVERYDAY.

This worked perfectly with the 2017 5K iMac. Plug n play!

My new 27” iMac came with only 8 gb of RAM. I added these very easily and now have 40gb. I am very happy with this purchase.

Oh boy. I thought I had ordered the wrong ones because they came with a sticker that read NOTEBOOK. Since it said on here that it does work for the 2017 27inch iMac 5k, I decided to go ahead. After I installed and tried to turn on, I felt the machine running but I only received a black screen. Luckily I came across a forum that stated that you must press them in more firmly than expected and, sure enough, they werent fully in.

Plug & play ... works like a charm!
