Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Memory for Mac CT2K32G4S266M

First, I did a LOT of research on upgrading RAM on an iMac Intel 27 Retina 5K (2020,1) <yes, there is a version 2020,1 and the other, 2020,2> .. the Mac is standard with 8Gigs and these models are older inventory, so many Apple resellers are discounting them (no longer available through APPLE) .. I have used another iMac 27 4K (model Late 2013) .. purchased Crucial RAM (32GB Kit - 2x16GB) in the past & worked great.

Orders 2 RAM cards, which anyone who knows arent designed for rough handling. The cards were in a very thin envelope with no structure to it. Very lucky that the item didnt get crushed by other packages thereby damaging the memory.

Needed to expand the memory of my 2017 iMac as some of my VMs needed the extra room. This did that for me. (From 8 standard to 40)

Wasn’t completely sure this Ram would work in my Mac, even given what I had read . It did , however . Also, while DDR 4 isn’t obsolete yet , sodimm is not in high demand , especially for Macs , so getting it was a bit longer than I’d hoped . That said , the seller did the best I could hope for , considering I chose the least expensive shipping option available. I would buy from them again.

It’s worked on my 2017 imac. Also compatible with the preinstalled apple ram. Easy to install. Plugin your new ram at slot 1 and 3, old ram at slot 2 and 4.

Great RAM stick. Used it in a dell 5000 series and works beautifully.

Works just fine on PC too, I knew it would. I am just saying this in case some people were questioning if it would. I bought this instead of regular RAM because it surprisingly was cheaper.

It works well with my 2020 Imac 27.

Best value for your money!! I bought this for my iMac 27 in 5k. I wanted more ram. Its amazing! has quickly increased my startup on my Mac and opening and closing apps, especially Microsoft Office ones. I can now have multiple office suites open and wont lag my Mac. Easy to install. Way cheaper than getting it from other retailers. one of best decisions was getting this after my Mac, as Apple will charge you like 3x the price. Just do it yourself. Will definitely buy again if I need more power.
