We use this to control an outdoor Christmas tree each year and it works very well. It was easy to install and program and we have not had any trouble with it.

Should be simple but over a hour later still getting a binding fail. Tried it outside then inside and no luck. Sending it back ASAP! Save your money.

Overall, Im happy with the product. It is well built and works as described. I had no issues connecting it to my home network and controlling it via the app. My only issue is programming schedules with the app. I can program individual schedules for each receptacle, but can only run one schedule at a time. Maybe its operator error, but I havent figured out how to do it yet. Other than that, Im happy with my purchase.

Tried it 15 times with a nest wifi router.... Reset it over and over and it keeps saying the password is incorrect. I copied it straight from the screen on Google Home with no success. Tried it with my AT&T router. Same problem. Returning this for something I can actually use

With dlinks history they will most likely remove support for this outlet switch in a year or two to force you to get the new model. I had over $2,000 worth of home automation outlets, sensors, and cameras that D-Link just decided to no longer support after I had them for 3 months. Stay away from D-Link.

Ive had it before. I am very satisfied with the product. A very good product for its price. Quality.

*Update: After using the plug last year, I unplugged it and stored it in the basement with all of the Christmas lights. When I went to reinstall it this year. Same outdoor receptacle and everything, I could not get it to link with Alexa. Same router, same passwords, nothing changes. I am sure if I reset everything and took the time, I could probably get everything communicating again. But I assumed once it was done I could just plug/unplug without worrying about it. So now instead of Alexa taking care of it, I needed to use the MyDlink app to set a schedule. This was a bit tedious as you need to do everyday, and its military time. Since reinstalling after less than a week I have had to unplug it to reset it as it has lost connection. Even the buttons on the unit itself were unresponsive. I am unsure what the case is, but I am losing confidence in this product that was great 1 year prior. *** After a week this has worked great for our outside Christmas lights. Set up was a breeze as well as integrating with Alexa. I am a huge fan of each outlet having its own cover. You are able to name each outlet so that they can be turned on individually.

Loved this product. Saved me going out 20 degree weather to turn off Christmas lights. Just turned them on and off right from my phone. And all you have to do is download the app and easy set up.
