Im *SO* confused. I have been using Dakine straps for at least 10 years. These are the WORST straps I have ever used. The straps constantly come loose in the cams, allowing my surf board to wiggle all over the place. I have to do an entire gymnastics routine to get them tight enough. I cant for the life of me figure out why these are so different than my previous Dakine straps. Seriously these are horrible. Sadly I was out of the return period before I could use them so Im stuck with them. :-( Will unfortunately be switching brands and being a new pair.

Dakine really are the best. They make tying your SUP down incredibly quick and simple. A friend had recommended them and I brushed him off thinking that my straps were awesome and secure, but when he finally showed them to me I understood. Theyre really thick, wide and the tooth locking system couldnt be easier. The padding under the metal keeps your boards safe from scratching. Keep it up Dakine!

These straps are great, so sturdy and easy to use. Takes about 2 minutes to tie a surfboard down and less to take it off. Buy these!

I think these straps are just ok. they hold nicely, and the padded clasp is nice, but the way they are designed, its a bit of a chorse to fish the strap through the buckle. Maybe this will get better with time, I found them to be more difficult to use than past tie-downs. Also, 12 feet is LONG. If you are just using this for surfboards, or paddleboards, or even kayaks, there is a lot of extra strap to deal with. I had to cut mine down, and burn the edge to make it easier to use, and to prevent fraying. In all, they are good, but could use some tweaks to make them easier to use.

trying to feed the straps in the buckles is horrible, the neoprene blocks the opening and you can not do it in a timely manner leaving you very frustrated after trying to tie down your boards on top of the vehicle. They also seemed to loosen resulting in possible disaster of your boards flying off into another car on the road!!!!! Poor design. Just get regular tie downs

These things are really great. Shopping online for straps can be hard, but these are very well made, with high quality, strong looking straps. The buckles appear to be galvanized so they wont rust, too. Ive used them more than a dozen times now and have no complaints, they work great everytime. I went with this length because its always better to have more slack than not enough!
