> 3 dayI have a few dechokers around the house and always keep them accessible just in case of an emergency. They are quality built and the plastic bag they come in are nice and thick to protect the device while it is not in use.

> 3 dayThis device saved my 1yr old Down Syndrome baby tonight!! I just want to cry as I write this...I had just purchased this a few months ago because my Cousin recommended it to me, as I was concerned that my little one may have a more narrow esophagus. I am so thankful to have had it handy. We tried everything we knew to do before using this, and it worked immediately, he took a deep gasp of air. I absolutely will be purchasing more! Thank you for this product!!! I will add...take the time to read through the instructions when you get it, so that you are ready to use it properly if the time comes that you need to, because if someone is choking and you are in a panic, time is of the essence.

> 3 dayThe first thing that you notice is the greasy residue on the outside of the product. I have no idea what this is or what the purpose could possibly be. Second, the device I ordered for a child came equipped with an adult mask. Third, the plastic device designed to fit in the patients mouth is very stiff and could potentially cause injury to the airway when the device is used. So add a bleeding airway to a choking emergency - not good. When I was in residency, one of my attendings said: Never underestimate your ability to make a bad situation worse. Well, heres your chance.

> 3 dayYesterday it happened to us, our 8 year old, Maxwell, choked. 60 seconds of terror. I have taken first aid and CPR at least seven or eight times in my Early Childhood career. This was my first choking incident and it was absolutely terrifying. Maxwell sat down for a bowl of SpaghettiOs and meatballs, walked over to me with bug eyes, grabbing his throat. I think I asked him if he was serious, and he nodded. My husband immediately started looking for our De-choking device in our medicine cabinet. I tried to swipe out the food, but it was too far down. I did two pulls of the Heimlich maneuver, nothing. By then Blake had the device and put it on his mouth. With one pull the full meatball was out. Was I doing the Heimlich correctly? In my state of panic, I have absolutely no idea. I wasn’t about to waste another second finding out. I’m so so thankful we had this device. I encourage everyone to buy some now. I carry one in my purse and we had one in our kitchen. Maxwell is doing good although he is pretty emotional and shaken up, as are we. I hope we never have to go through this again, but at least I know we will be ready.

> 3 dayWhat an amazing product! My daughter starting to choke the other day on a grape and I realized that I actually had no idea what to do. The Dechoker arrived in only a few days and everything looks great. The unit comes with very clear and simple instructions for use. It makes me feel so much better now that my familys first aid kit has this in it. I really hope that I never have to use it, but it gives me such relief to know that its there if we ever have another choking scare.
