    Greater than one week

Im used to tarps with only one layer of nylon, and the double layer with all the reenforcement is nice to see. Durable and sturdy.

If there is ANY chance of rain this bad boy is going on the BikePack trip with me. Its well worth the added bulk and weight. BURRRRRLY as all get out. My 10x13 has already put up with some SERIOUS windage shrugging it off without a shudder. LOTS of tie-offs. Incredible quality. Incredible water resistance rating. Best out there.

BAM! Perfect heavy tarp. To be clear, I dont own a tent. I like camping open-air in weather that makes bugs and snakes cringe; give me 20-degrees Fahrenheit and a good snow storm -- and this tarp! I do own many different types of tarps, each specific to the mission (ok, camping trips). And, I own several Aqua Quest tarps. I have great respect for this company and this tarp. It is square, and allows all of the square-tarp configurations, but 15-foot-square is a whole different reality. Being balled up in a wool blanket under this as a plow-point yields a 225-square-foot floor plan, as a tri-folded tube there is enough room for multiple people, with plenty of head room, and the material endures the thaw freeze cycles in the field without complaint. This tarp is packed with my sleep-kit used when equipment is carried by portage, ATV, or even a real mule (though I have not had that chance yet). I did not consider the price unreasonable, but I strongly recommend that you understand tarp choices before you buy -- this is a fantastic tarp, but you wont like it if it isnt the right one for the job. Aqua Quest has one of the best collections of tarps available, take the time to review the lineup, get the best fit, and then try wearing it out with mature use... Go ahead, I dare ya!

Im more of a tent guy, by no means a tarp connoisseur. This is great for me. It doesnt have much of the crunchy sound most tarps do, its pretty thick and seems durable too. Picnic blanket, shelter, tarp for shade, ground tarp, hammock camping, all in one good item. Its not the lightest, but it it suits my needs very well.

Since buying my 10x10 Defender Tarp, Ive had nothing but great experiences with it. Its tough and stands up to adverse weather conditions, including heavy winds, snow and damp ground. Ive used it in plowpoint, modified a frame, c fly wedge and envelope configurations with no problems.

I wish it had both loops and reinforced holes for use with tent poles. As it is Im just bracing the pole end against the fabric and I cant believe thats best practice. Otherwise, very nice tarp.

Great tarp for the money. Maybe a little heavy but offers a ton of space and hanging options
