Is it indestructible no, but it will definitely do a great job for a long time.

I have tons of tarps. Tons…the defender tarp by aquaquest is heavy…it is however the best tarp I have owned for tarp camping…it in the 10x10, 10x7 or 10x13 makes a far better sleeping structure then most tents I have…it is the ultimate tarp…in any of the sizes I listed above, it will keep your warm, dry and comfortable. Learn to make a tarp tent and it’s all you will ever need. To heavy? Aquaquest makes lighter ones…but, nothing beats the defender…

My son used a one-man tent, I had a self inflating pad, pillow, low temp sleeping bag and this tarp. I brought one side to the ground to cut down wind, the other side nearly to the ground and crawled out the end. Kept the rain and frost off, we were backwoods hunting in Colorado. This pic was about 12,000. Was able to get all my gear and my sons gear under the tarp with me.
