DEWALT DW8311 4-1/2-Inch by 5/8-Inch-11 36 Grit Zirconia Angle Grinder Flap Disc

This was my first flap disc. Im surprised at how much manufacturing and tech has to go into making one of these gizmos. Theyre pretty well connected with high quality tech and materials in order to function properly. Dewalt (Black & Deckers commercial grade products) did OK on this one. FYI: Black & Decker = residential grade Dewalt = commercial grade ... SAME COMPANY!

Have gone through a few projects using this flap discs. These discs cut through rust with no pressure and will cut through mill scale with a few passes.

it wears out fast but while it has the abrasive it takes out metal material fast

Beats the price at the big box stores- hands down. I got my purchase fast and was able to use this to cut the top off of one of my kegs to make a keggle. I highly recommend this item.

Ive tried to sace money using less expensive brands but I end up have to change out the disc more often which at the end I spend more money. This dewalt disc is definitely worth the money

It does what I want

For the price Dewalt wheels are great. Some places have cheaper wheels, but Dewalts are much sturdier, ie safer.

I guess I was looking more for a solid disc not one that looks like a disc with pieces of sand paper attached to it. For a grinder it may be alright but I was a little disappointed with my purchase.
