Greater than one weekReally warm and comfortable. Unfortunately after a couple washes they start to look kind of bad. Overall Im satisfied with the quality of the product for the price I paid. I wouldnt mind to get a couple more next year.

> 3 dayThe socks are a little on the large size, but better that than a little on the small size. I have worn them through only one washing cycle and they didnt shrink in the dryer, which is good. We have -15°F forecast for tomorrow morning, it will be a good test of how good these socks really are. So far I am pleased, for the price they seem to be a good purchase.

> 3 dayAlthough they are warm they fit your leg like a vice. Maybe that is the intent so they do not fall down. But they were too tight for my average size leg.

Greater than one weekGood price good quality. Ive been using this socks for various hunts. Im taking those new 3 pairs to DIY elk hunt in Colorado in less than a week. Ill update my review on how they were when Im back. Update: so Im back from DIY Elk hunt. It was tough. No elk. Those socks kept me dry in snow and below freezing conditions of tough hike everyday: elevation gain of 4,000ft to over 10,500ft where I had my base set up. I choose to use non insulated lighter boots so I was counting on this 80% merino wool socks and they did their job. Ive worn 2 of them for 3days, another for 5days. I rotated them each day. Ive worn hang dried worn ones when I slept for extra warmth. Those socks didnt get stinky unlike cotton business socks. They are semi-stretched out like A-shirt worn for a few days. I believe there are higher quality thicker 80%+ merino wool socks out there but these are not Sitka outers that I wont be able to afford new ones every year: Im ok with the quality and likelihood of needing to get another pairs next season after I continue to use them for whitetail hunts and small game hunts for the rest of the seasons back home. So heres my final thoughts. These socks are not the top of the line but they are 80% merino wool. They met my expectations and held up. I dont believe they will perform as good as when they are brand new for years and years BUT socks are underwears! I am planning to get another set next year for another elk hunt. Recommended. Sorry no picture of actual socks, I didnt think about it.

> 3 dayThese are the most awesome warm socks EVER...and if youre someone who is really bummed out that your smart wool sock heels wear through in just one winter (which they do), then these are the socks for you! I live in them (in a cold climate) and the heels or toes dont wear through!! I discovered them when visiting family and the weather took a turn, I wasnt prepared for the cold and borrowed a pair of my sisters socks - she ended up giving them to me b/c i wouldnt take them off! I wouldve given 5 stars, but only b/c of the sizing mishap...one pair of the 3 is a little big!? Im not sure if a larger size snuck into my order??? Im going to wash them really warm to see if theyll shrink?

> 3 dayThese seemed to work well at first, so I ordered more. However, after a few washes (wool cycle, cold water, air dry), they stretch out and get thin. Ive been much happier with Fun Toes brand.

> 3 dayOk, the price caught my eye because most places charge close to $20 a pair. I liked that they were plan and tall... I have been practicing hiking in the So Cal area and these past few months have been pretty chilly, I love how they feel on my feet and keep them at a comfortable temp ... my hiking boot is a size larger and my feet feel perfect in them. Bought these for my first 6 day hike in Northern Spain. I just ordered another package. Going to give as Christmas presents this year... I bought an ankle version from a local hiking shop, expensive, they are ok, I just like these more. I fold the tops down above my hiking boot, looks nice too! Also, they do shrink a little in the dryer, but I like them more snug for my size 8 feet. They stretch out a little after wearing all day. Breath well in hot & cold weather, and not going to wear a “liner” dock. I wear them to bed on cold nights and around the house... although, I do wish they were made in the USA!
