> 24 hourI have purchased several inexpensive calipers and keep them handy in differnt places (office, basement, garage...these are like screw drivers - handy only when they are handy)... I like the feel of this one the most... and I like the siz of the display compared to the others I have.... seems to read accuratley enough for me.. I am a occasional user and I am not hard on digital tools.

> 24 hourI lost my previous caliper. I was contemplating getting another Harbor Freight one as it had served me well for my needs for years. But, I decided to check Amazon to see what they had. I was impressed with the offerings and finally settled on this one. It claimed Stainless steel and it is. The whole thing is stainless steel. The HF one was partial plastic. Any way, for about the same price as the HF offering, I got this one which seemed be of higher quality components and skipped the 50 mile drive to my nearest HF. After initial inspection and testing, I am impressed and very happy with my purchase. It is much heavier than the old half plastic HF. I tested it on a 5mm allen wrench it it came out to 4.98MM. For my home/personal use, that is well within acceptability and could be more of a factor of the allen wrench being 2/100ths of a MM out of specs. If I need more accuracy than that, I would have opted for one the $100 plus professional calipers. As long as it lasts, I will be very happy with this. It came with TWO spare batteries along with the one in the caliper. Kinda nice touch. Oh, and the case it comes in is a very solid and quality feeling case as well.

> 24 hourI was pleased with the heft of this item. Its easy to read and dont feel like its going to break a day after its used. The case is cheap but it works and serves its purpose. The only thing I dont like is how loose the thumb adjustment is. It has so much play that it needs to be aligned to fit the groove correctly to make it run smooth. Other than that this is a quality item and appears to have the correct measurements.

> 24 hourThe ad sort of states these are waterproof. These Asian products have a strange way of describing things and it does say the stainless parts are waterproof. I was hopeful that it was, being in the marine business. My last pair lasted way longer than expected, they did get a bit wet at times, but in no way are they WATERPROOF by definition.
