I needed it to measure a set of bearings for a lawn tractor deck since the lawn tractor had a different size deck than what came with the mower new so needed to measure the bearings before i could decide what fit it, Opened it up when it came and in seconds had the correct size i needed to order, So well made and easy to use. there seem to be three types of calipers, digital mm or hundredths or thousandths, digital in fractions, and old fashioned read the measurement yourself. The first one I bought gave measurements in thousandths, which you may need to convert to fractions for many uses. This one gives you the choice of thousandths or fractions (64ths of an inch or larger) which I needed. Only used it a few times, but it gave me the values I needed.

I wanted super accurate calipers, and these are actually too accurate for my needs. The parts I would measure would be in, at most, 1/32 in in precision, and I found myself having to round to the nearest large fraction, which was a pain.

I have been thinking of getting a set of fractional calipers for quite sometime now and I am glad that I finally got this pair. The caliper is accurate, easy to change from mm, to decimals to fractions and easy to read. The mechanism move smoothly and with little effort.

I have used this over the past year and it has worked fairly well. I recently went to use it and it wont turn on. I went to change the battery and I cant even open the battery cover. I have tried prying it off and it wont open. Very frustrating.

Embarrassed to admit that my initial review was critical of how difficult it was to adjust the caliper with the adjustment knob. I recently realized there is a tension adjustment screw on top of the display window that makes sliding the caliper jaws very easy. It’s a great product and I highly recommend it.

high quality, low price

I needed a digital caliper for a design project and works great, very sturdy. I like the fact that you can quickly change the measurement to mm/ inch/ fraction so as not to look up in a conversion chart. Its a little heavier than a simple caliper since its digital. Comes with extra batteries and hard case as well. I recommend this product!
