A pleasant idyllic scene can be witnessed here, several faceless children skate among a surface of frozen liquid while onlookers look on in either awe or shocked disbelief. A dog tows a child attached to some sort of sled or metal gurney, lights are ablaze among the backdrop of houses, while oil or halogen lamps cast an eerie glow on the faceless onlookers. The amount of lights is questionable for judging by the light in the sky, this scene takes place during the afternoon, that or the gathering of a gloomy twilight. A thick blanket of snow encaps the land while unchained hounds search relentlessly for scraps. A developmentally disabled boy attempts to befriend a snowman in the back right, with shouts of daddy, why did you leave us?. Overall, I enjoyed this needlecraft, I found the half stitching technique to add an almost 8-bit quality reminiscent of a 1980s Atari game, I could almost hear the midi beat that would add a soundtrack to this strange amalgamation of misfits. As for the time period, I imagine it takes place sometime in the late Victorian/Georgian period up to present day. A good holiday craft project for the dexterous among you, I would rate the difficulty as above average/intermediate. I may tarnish it by leaving it in the woods for a number of weeks and place the results in a wooden box, I will then auction it on ebay as cursed antique needlecraft found in estate sale, using this technique I will gain 3 to 4 times the price of this stitching in profit. Good luck to the crafty out there, it arrived quickly and in the original packaging.
