12-06-2025I got this for a carry on for a month long trip to Europe. It was durable and could hold a lot. Actually maybe too much. I ended up taking it as my only luggage for 7 days in England. It held everything including my umbrella, but it was too heavy for me to wear for long. Of course, I’m a 70 yo woman so it might be easier for a younger person! I loved the packing cubes. They definitely made it easy to keep my clothes organized and they held a lot.

> 3 dayThis backpack was absolutely amazing, my daughter and I were able to fit 3 days worth of clothes. Fit perfectly under the seat on the flight home. Lots of room. And I would definitely recommend this backpack

> 3 dayIve only used this for a month but so far its lived up to its expectations. The design is very well thought out (everything seems practical, no wtf were they thinking components), and the padding on the back makes it pretty comfy even when stuffed full and quite heavy. The look and quality (e.g. the zippers) are also really impressive for the price. I looked at tons of options and even ordered two others, but sent those back. Ive recommended this bag to friends, so would recommend it to you as well, dear reader.

Greater than one weekThese backpacks are sturdy and reliable. We traveled with two of these in Europe. They were comfortable even when completely packed. The zippers and buckles work well. We really liked the fact that the packs open like a suitcase not a backpack.

> 3 dayIm 52 and this 17 pack fits perfectly. It weighs ~4 lbs empty which seems fairly standard for this style backpack. The features I wanted were a sideopening (like a suitcase) a pocket to store the shoulder straps(in case I have to check it) and a pocket for my Ipad. In addition, this pack also has some smaller outside pockets for passport, cellphone, anything you may need to access easily. It has an adjustable holder for a water bottle with an additional strap to secure it. It also has straps to cinch the backpack tighter to decrease the fullness.A previous contributer commented that it would be better for the smaller ouside pockets to be against your back so they couldnt be accessed by pickpockets. I dont disagree but I always use a travel waist belt for my important papers so thats not an issue for me. I was looking for a backpack with a waist belt also but that typically adds another 40.00 to the cost. This backpack doesnt really shift too much when I bend over so it wasnt worth the extra expense. Im only using it in airports. If I planned to go hiking I would have looked for a much different backpack. I packed a poncho, sweatshirt, 5 pair of slacks, 7 tops, personal items, brush, ipad, essentially enough for 1+ week and had additinal space left to pack more. The stitching and zippers look like they will hold up well with heavy use. Overall, this is the pack I plan to use for a 3 week vacation next spring. Great price and well constructed. Since I havent used it yet I only gave it 4 stars but I have no doubts it will earn 5 once I travel with it. Update 3/2023 Just traveled to Cancun from North Carolina. I was able to pack enough for a week without difficulty. Some of the things I realized... I could not use the water bottle holder if I cinched the bag to make the depth smaller; theres a key holder on the inside pocket and this was great. One of the pockets on the inside was waterproof. My pack weighed 14 pounds total once I had it fully packed. Im 68 and my husband is 78 and we had no difficulty getting the pack on or walking long distances with it. The weight on our shoulders were evenly distributed and very comfortable. I absolutely loved the pocket to tuck the straps into. This feature was handy when I chose to carry the pack instead of wearing it. The small front pocket was perfect for our 1 quart liquid bag and was easily accesses.Overall I was very pleased with all the features. I will use it as a carryon for my 3 week trip to Europe since I plan to bring back gifts and will be checking a bag. I highly recommend this backpack based on its functionality and excellent price.

> 3 dayI’d used this travel backpack for my recent three weeks to Europe. I placed all my electronic and an extra change of clothes along with makeup bag and other necessities. I also had a messenger bag as my purse plus one luggage I checked. It can also be a great bag for a 3-4 days trip or use with another roller carryon if you want to travel light. The water bottle holder works great, there’s dedicated slot for a 15 inch laptop and tablet. The other compartments are a little shallow for boarding passes (only if you fold it) but great for small items and passport. Since I used it once I can’t say how sturdy it is but it held up great for my trip. The larger compartment opens like a suitcase but if you use cubes or containers, you can easily open it at the top for easy access to items you need during the flight. I didn’t attempt to fit it under the seat but it fit well overhead also on the smaller planes. It may fit under the seat if sitting in middle or window and not fill to the max. The material is nice....It’s 40L and is the same size as a 19inch carryon with wheels. The bonus is the band on the back that fits over the handle on luggage with wheels. The straps can be hidden if you don’t want to use as a backpack. Will buy again and the price is better than other similar bags on Amazon.

> 3 dayBought this for a 10 day trip. The bag size and layout is excellent, but it’s lacking one main feature of a waist clip to help keep weight off your back and on your hips. Unfortunately we decided without that, the bag was going to be too uncomfortable to lug around Europe and we went with a hiking bag instead. We still liked the bag enough to keep but will only use on short trips or when we don’t have to carry it constantly.

> 3 dayThis backpack looks great and will definitely help with short travel. However, it smells so heavy of roses/perfume once its opened. I like the layout of the backpack. So, i am crossing my fingers I can get the smell out. If I can not I may be back to square one looking for another travel backpack

Greater than one weekSince I carry a lot of journals and books with me I was looking for something that could house all those things, and this bag definitely delivered!! Super durable, Ive never had any fear of losing things or of straps or zippers breaking--the only downside is its a little too big to fit into a locker, but if youre just using it for hiking or travelling, itd be perfect!

Greater than one weekThis backpack is everything I had hoped for. It has multiple interior and exterior compartments to help me maintain organization. My laptop fits nicely in the middle storage compartment. I think it is an excellent choice for a carry on item when flying. The largest compartment is great for a jacket or extra set of clothes. I really like that the straps can be stored in a zipped up compartment when they are not needed. For the price, this backpack is an excellent value!
