I wanted a handheld vacuum with a cord instead of a battery, but I was a little concerned that the product description states the cord is 2.5 feet. Thats wrong. The cord is more like 8 feet. Maybe the product description should have indicated the length in meters instead of feet? In any event, this vacuum is perfect for my needs. It is much more powerful that I would have expected, and is so easy to grab whenever I need it, like to clean up little bits of yarn after a crochet project or pieces of canine fur after the dog goes on the couch even though she knows she shouldnt. I would definitely recommend this Dirt Devil.

Powerful, love that it plugs in. Filter traps the tiniest particles, and yes - that means you have to clean it off, but easy enough to do. Happy with purchase. For those worrying about the Wash hands after using in the instructions, that is to comply with CA law, and concerns the electrical cord. Almost all electrical cords have some lead in them. This is not a danger to you. Perhaps if you allow your infant to suck on the cord daily for months, it could be an issue, but ..seriously?

Convenient and I like that it is corded. I dont like having to recharge after only 5-10 minutes of use, so dont have to worry about that. Cord is nice and long. Can vacuum up cat dirt on top of the bed with the brush attachment (has less suction). Also got it for the car, but have not tried that yet. Easy to empty. Downside is that it is a bit noisy (but does not hurt ears) & scares my cat. It also blows out a lot of air, so you cannot vacuum up dust, only particles. Serves the purpose that I got it for. You dont use it for a rug.

This is, by far, the best handheld vac I have ever purchased and used. For the past 15 years, I have been purchasing cordless handheld vacs and every year or two I have to purchase a new one because the battery doesnt hold but a 30 second charge. I was tired of spending $30 - $200 every year or two for a new vacuum that I knew would only last a year or so. I was also very disappointed in every cordless vacuums suction power (I have had everything from the

I love this little vacuum. I specifically wanted some thing corded so it would be stronger and last a long time. I’ve had issues with cordless vacuums dying way too soon and become unusable because it relied on the battery. I expect this vacuum to last many years, unlike numerous cordless ones I’ve had. The suction is also really strong since it is corded. Cordless vacuums are renowned for not being as strong of a suction. I’m also really impressed by the length of the cord. I can reach it across my whole room and if I needed to go further i put one of my extension cords on it that I got for cheap at Walmart. I also don’t have issues with the contents spilling out when I have it turned off like I’ve had with previous handheld vacuums. I am so excited that this vacuum works so well, especially for the price point. Very impressed. I expect this vacuum to last me many many years.

My wife wanted a new handheld vac for cleaning “difficult areas” like the dog kennel and our kitchen rugs. So I bought this one. In her text to me after using it for the first time, she stated, “That little Dirt Devil kicks a**.” I can think of no higher praise than that! Easy to use and powerful. It’s a great buy if you’re in the market for a handheld vac.

Finding a corded handheld vacuum was challenging. Most models are rechargeable, and they do not stay charged for very long. The Dirt Devil Scorpion does the trick!

I bought this for my fireplace and the woodstove, to clean up as I go... Works perfectly for the dust and bits of bark & wood that used to be everywhere. Zoom! It WORKS! I am especially stoked about this fireplace vacuum because I purchased a different one from a store - and it had ZERO power. well, not exactly zero, but very close. This one has POWER. I love it!

I bought it to use on dog hair that accumulates on the stairs. Theres an outlet downstairs located near the bottom of the stairs, and with the addition of a 30 extension cord I can get the stairs in one go without having to stop half way up and plug into a different outlet. The cord length of the appliance is reasonable, I just wanted it longer. It has good suction power and works well for its intended purpose. Measuring the current draw with a P3 Kill-A-Watt meter shower that with 120V line voltage the vacuum pulls 4.97 amps with a clean filter. That drops down to 3.98 if I hold my hand over the air inlet for a few seconds. The amp rating in the add copy is put there by marketing and their number is probably a peak startup current measured when the unit is first switched on. Do bigger numbers sell more units? The vacuum is much better than a cordless vac in duration (naturally) and suction power both. The built in crevice tool is a nice feature that allows me access to much tighter places than it would otherwise be able to reach. So far the crevice tool is holding up well for me. The power switch is fairly easy to operate and stays firmly in position when you release it. The dirt cup and filter are easy to take off, clean, and put back on. Its small size and light weight make using it a breeze. And that brings me to the only down side. I wish it had exhaust air deflectors to direct the air coming out of it to the rear instead of the sides. At times the exhaust air will blow the very dirt and pet hair away from the nozzle one is trying to capture. Especially in small spaces like the stairs. It doesnt get hot, but it does get quite warm after running for a while. Not enough for me to be a concerned or worry about it. This is pretty much par for the course of any corded vacuum cleaner. I got the unit in January 2021 and today is 2021/August/30. Its still going strong after a number of 15-20 minute weekly use cycles.
