> 3 dayI always wanted to buy one of these to keep around to vacuum out our cars--and it excels at that job. Our dogs constantly track in dirt and grass, and someone (must be my wife) is constantly eating fried chicken, donuts, and chips in the car. At least that is what the crumbs look like theyre from. If you get a good unit, it works well with strong suction and a nice long cord. If you for some reason get a bad unit, return it immediately. The chances of getting a bad second unit are limited. Of course you can use the Dirt Devil for several other clean-up tasks. You can use it to vacuum up sawdust or filings from your garage projects. You can vacuum up the fried chicken, donuts, and chip crumbs your wife also drops in the garage. Its also a great tool for catching wolf spiders as big as the palm of your hand, the occasional (thank God) cockroach or a wandering wasp. Its great in the home office for vacuuming your computer keyboard and the various food crumbs that my wife drops there. We use it to clean out our African Greys bird cage and also the bird seed she likes to fling outside the cage. And I even use it to vacuum the loose hair off Dante, our 190 pound Cane Corso. The breeder said that Cane Corsos (Italian Mastiff) dont shed, but she told us a bit of a whopper there. If you dont have to groom a dog, it simply sheds. So this Dirt Devil has several uses that allow you to keep up with the various messes that you (or your wife) make around the house or in the car. I always try to beat her to the food crumbs so that she doesnt think that I am the one eating all that forbidden food.

> 3 dayI was rush-shopping when I got this and did not pay attention to a major spec: it’s tethered to a cord it’s whole life. Lol. Fully my own mistake, but I wanted a cordless hand vac and instead got yet another thing that needs to be plugged in. Unfortunately I’ve used it several times already anyway, so returning is no longer an option. On the upside it has good suction for sure. It is hella loud, it it has very good suction. Dirt devil stuff never gets the best reviews but this is definitely not the worst product I’ve ever used. It is good for small spaces like in between and ottoman and the couch, stairs and by laundry areas. It comes with a bunch of generally useless attachments. I tried using one, the long tubelike extension, and it was fine but just sort of floppy and annoying. I have to hold it straight and it just was an annoying thing to have to do on top of hunching over and scraping the ground. I did not receive the spinning rug attachment that is listed in the manual. I got one that has red velvety strips lining the suction part. Have not used yet. but might be helpful for bedding? I also really wanted something that would work for the car, and I don’t know who’s car is parked 10 ft from a wall outlet but it’s basically not possible. I know there’s comments about plugging it into the car but I don’t have an adapter for that and I’m not about to buy yet another piece for this thing. I feel like it’s honestly kind of useless if you own any other kind of vacuum and have a one-story, or small living space. My bigger, main vacuum got an f*ing sock caught in the tubing and had to be cut out and now the suction just is nonexistent despite many layers of tape. So I got this in a hurry thinking I’d get some extra bonus options for use. Unfortunately, no. It’s ok and it does the job. I gave it 4 stars bc it has serious suction and can get small messes cleaned up quickly. I probably over rated it, but It is easier to drag this thing out than my other big vacuum for sure. But of course you have to be hunched over like Quasimodo to use it. And we all know that once its out and were using it, we will run around and find other things to vacuum up. So its not like you just whip this out for one thing for 4 seconds. You walk around crouched down and bent over scraping the scraping around. I am pregnant and all this thing does right now is hurt me. I’ll deal with it but I will definitely get a proper hand vac soon.

> 3 dayExtremely powerful suction. Great for cleaning up dust and pet hair. 5/5. Cord is decently long but sometimes not long enough for where I need to get to, but I knew what I was getting into when I bought a corded vacuum. Cannot over-emphasize how powerful this suction is.

> 3 dayThis works great for grandma as she struggles to push a heavier vacuum around. She is able to clean up debris including most of the down feathers shed by her birds.

> 3 dayGreat little Vacuum for small furniture or cleaning up dusty/cobwebby corners but not ideal for use on any size of actual carpet unless you want to feel like youre scrubbing a swimming pool with a toothbrush.

> 3 dayThis is fantastic for picking up cat litter and food. I have a very and I mean VERY large cat. He is so big he has to go to the vet in a dog kennel and in order to fit in the largest litter box made, his head has to stick out the front. After turning around, burying his recent deposit.....he then turns back around and practically hurls himself from the litter box. Needless to say, he kicks up a lot of litter then finds its way to the floor...all around the litter box. This is a dream for cleaning that up. I run it several times a day around the box (after each new deposit) after I clean the box contents and put them in the litter genie. It has made keeping the area clean, a breeze. Now, in addition to his feline gymnastics, vaulting out of the box), he eats like he is entered in an extreme eating competition for cats. He cant seem to eat and leave things in his bowl...he has to zoom his head around his bowl causing food to fly out. I dont want ants so I want to get it up off the floor asap (though I am not as fussy about it as I am litter cleanup). This works great for that as well (I could put the food back in his bowl but apparently he has some demented version of the 3 second rule. Once it touches the ground, if he sees it go back in the bowl, the whole bowl is contaminated). The sound of the vacuum does not scare him THAT badly but he does not like it. I also love that this came with a shoulder strap, hose and attachment. The only advice I would give is to carefully read this. I thought it said cordless. My mother has one of these and hers is cordless, so I assumed and did not take time to really read this. It is CORDED (though not sure why I am saying that as it clearly states it is corded but maybe others may fall prey to their own slipshod idiocy). You can only go as far as the cord will reach but this works for me. All in all.....I could not be happier

> 3 dayConvenient and I like that it is corded. I dont like having to recharge after only 5-10 minutes of use, so dont have to worry about that. Cord is nice and long. Can vacuum up cat dirt on top of the bed with the brush attachment (has less suction). Also got it for the car, but have not tried that yet. Easy to empty. Downside is that it is a bit noisy (but does not hurt ears) & scares my cat. It also blows out a lot of air, so you cannot vacuum up dust, only particles. Serves the purpose that I got it for. You dont use it for a rug.

Greater than one weekExcellent suction and easy to operate and dump out. Picks up kitty litter very well, which was main reason I bought it. But it would be nicer to have the stair attachment, which the msnufacturer told me is NOT available for this model. In hindsight I should have just paid the extra and got the model that did have the stair attachment because this model has only a very narrow pick-up part or opening.
