~ Discraft makes a high quality 175 gram disc. A strong and durable flyer available in many color choices.

Very heavy and durable… reminds me of what we had in the 70s. BUT Will Not withstand a Malinois…. I don’t think anything will.

I love the plastic this disc is made of. It has a great weight, but the chameleon version is a little softer than the other versions. It makes it easier on the hands when you catch it. The softness makes it a little more prone to scratches, but well worth it. This is my fourth disc.

This plate was a fill-in for an old and tired yellow frisbee that bit the dust one sorrowful afternoon. See, our frisbees dont play frisbee. Oh, no. Frisbee is for the weak. The unintiatied. Real frisbees play Frennis, the great and terrible sport of worth-provingness. If you are unfamiliar with Frennis, its probably because youve never met a frisbee thats lived to tell about it. Well, friends, let me introduce you to the Discraft 175 gram Ultra Star Sport Disc, Bright Orange. This wicked contender was first brought into the Frennis arena three months ago. Oh, you should have seen it. It was beautiful, sailing valiantly over the net, reflecting blinding sunlight back at the Frennis masters. It was so bright that sometimes it would not be caught, crashing violently onto the hard court. But it never faultered. It never wavered. It sailed sure and strong, every time. As time went on, it grew more daring, sometimes even hooking to a ninety degree angle and diving as fast as it could toward the clay. It landed with a crash, the sound of plastic striking stone, so many times. So many times. Its a wonder it lives to play on. And the accuracy! Never has there been a disc that flies so true! It should be noted here that it is usual for plates that choose to engage in Frennisly activities to last about a month. That this plate has lasted three months (and, by the look of it, should keep on much longer) is itself impressive. But to look at it! Sure, the plastic is nicked and worn. Sure, you can tell its been up to no good. But the wear does not betray the heights from which it has fallen, the landings, brutal and at uncomfortable angles. If this champion of sport can survive three months of Frennis, surely it can endure the simple pains of frisbee and Ultimate. But to commit it as such is criminal. Think first of the pride of your frisbee before purchasing. This plate is worthy only of Frennis. - - - - - - - - - Edit 6/3/2015: This frisbee (or, for our case, Frennis plate) has taken a great deal of abuse over the past year. Were talking falls from ~100ft onto asphalt and concrete. Its still in one piece and still flies true. Our last frisbee shattered to pieces after just a few such falls. It lasted about two months. This frisbee is a real winner.

Its solid, properly weighted, and glows in the dark. What else could you ask for?

I love this brand of frisbees and I think I have bought the same brand 3 times. If you are buying a normal frisbee, the review deserves 5 stars not 4. The reason that I am giving this review 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the glow in the dark feature. I play ultimate at night a lot in a field with one streetlight to light the whole field and I bought the glow in the dark because I assumed that it would help us to be able to see the disc at the far ends of the field. While the disc does glow in the dark, it has to be complete darkness. The loss of a star isnt due to the product itself, but instead due to my expectations. If you are looking for a disc that will be easier to see in low light similar to what I was looking for, I would instead just buy the white because it actually shows up better in the very low light because the glow in the dark disc is actually an off yellow color.

Really nice frisbee. Not too hard, not to flimsy. My friend thought it was so nice that he stole it not long after I bought it.

Not sure what justifies the price but it works fine. Bought a similar one for half the price at Walmart.

Thanks! We always buy these! We lose them often, and they’re strong.

The world standard for the sport of Ultimate, and official disc of the USA Ultimate Championship Series since 1991. With its contoured grip and aerodynamic engineering, the Ultra-Star has set the standard for quality, consistency, and performance.

What is Ultimate?

Ultimate is a fast paced, non-contact field game that combines the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football.

A game is played by two seven-player squads on a field similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent"s end zone. The disc may be advanced only by completing a pass to a teammate. A team may throw as many passes as they wish and possession is retained as long as the disc is in the air — although the thrower has only 10 seconds to release a pass. All turnovers result in an immediate change of possession and a change of direction of play.

Games are generally played to 15 points. Each point begins with a "pull" from end zone to end zone and teams switch ends after each score.
