> 3 dayI used the lock for quite some time and it worked well. Easy to install and stick well, until it broke. Now I had to remove and put in a new one. That’s where the trouble begins. Anyway, like other reviews said, it’s not easy to remove, and the fishing string recommended by the manufacturer doesn’t work, at least not for me. I think I would have cut off my fingers before the lock would come off. However, I was able to use a frosting knife (those thin and round headed knife used for frosting a cake) to remove the adhesive. It will take some maneuvering but if you’re careful, you won’t damage the surface. Of course it may depends on the frosting knife you use so find one that’s not sharp. Just wanted to write this review for others who are having trouble with removing the lock.

> 3 dayThis is the only thing that has kept my toddlers from opening doors. Best thing about it is that if you only latch the bottom, you can still open the door by lifting the handle upward. So toddlers stay up while adults can still go in and out the door easily. That is until they get tall enough to be able to also lift the handle upward. But that’s a problem for another day. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI like this lock because it’s on top and bottom of the handle. My kid watches me undo it and he can’t seem to get it because it’s tight which is great.

> 3 dayIt’s not every time but when he tries hard enough he can put enough pressure on the the bottom half of the lock and push it to open. My kids rough in general so maybe that’s it so you might not have the same problem.

> 3 daySo I have a nine month old puppy who is out of control. He has recently learned how to open doors and I was about to lose my mind. I bought these and I don’t regret it. The adhesive is so strong that I can’t even get it off the door it gives you the option to leave the door locked or unlocked, which is very convenient. It keeps him out the levers hold the handle and place an order to get the handles to move. You have to press the button and move it at the same time. If you have kids or pets, I definitely recommend.

> 3 dayWe have an Australian Shepherd who is too smart for her own good. She figured out how to open the lever style doorknobs in our house. The one door that was a big problem for us was the door to our garage. If we left the house for a time, she would go looking for us in the garage, leaving the door open to any critters and bugs that wanted to come in, and allowing her to go explore the neighborhood as we opened the garage door while pulling up to the house. We had been putting step stools or laundry drying racks in front of the door to block her from getting to the door handle, but this was annoying to have to remember and blocked the door when we got home. I placed one of these door locks on the outside handle of the garage. Now when we leave, we just activate the lock and she cannot escape. If we are working out in the yard or garage, we only activate the lower lock, because she hasnt yet figured out she can lift the handle to open the door, so this allows the door to still be used by people while keeping her inside. We are very happy with this product for this purpose.

> 3 dayI bought these after multiple attempts (by my toddler) to play in the toilet. These work and keep the baby out of rooms you don’t want them just walking into
