I have a cat that is smart enough to open our doors. I didn’t mind it much since I was leaving most doors open anyways, but with a baby on the way I wanted to keep the cats out of our bedroom and the nursery and she constantly opened the door to the garage which was really annoying. I was worried about how these would work because the levers on our doors go down on both sides when you open the door, so I thought we might not be able to use it on the garage or while we were in the bedroom, but we just leave the stopper under the handle out and the one above the handle open so that she can’t pull the lever down but we can pull it up to open the door. It’s been perfect for us

I was looking at so many alternative style locking mechanisms to keep our two year old safe. We have a pond and beach maybe 30 yards from the house. All she has to do if flip the deadbolt and turn the flip handle and she’s out the door. Too many times has she escaped from the house and would make it to the beach by the time we were exiting the door after her. I ordered this lock after a friend sent me the link, showing me how effective it was- along with the cheaper price. We had to shave down one of the sides to accommodate proper space for the metal on the door, but so far, it works amazingly! The bottom and top lever both move, depending on which way your handle flips. After flipping your door handle up or down, you simply move the lever back to the original position, making it impossible to move the door handle down or up. Thank you for the added security that we needed! No more escapes have been made and we can rest easy that our toddler isn’t on the beach or wading in the water.

i have these on all of my doors and they have been great so far. we’ve had them for 2 years now since my daughter learned how to open our lever door knobs. you can move the top and/or the bottom lever to the side, whatever your preference to unlock it. i haven’t had to remove them yet so i’m not sure if they damage the door upon removal, but they’ve stuck to the doors for 2 years with no issues

Love these! And love the price for a 2 pack! They keep my baby from opening doors he shouldn’t and don’t keep me from easily opening them up. I don’t see him defeating this childproofing lock anytime soon. He would have to be a few inches taller and it would take a much older child than 2 to have the strength to open it if he even could figure out how. The dual button feature is why this product stands out from the rest. I feel he is safe from entering rooms he shouldn’t without me with this product. Very satisfied and have been planning on purchasing one or two more of these 2 packs to secure other rooms once the baby gate comes down! Looking forward to it! These are great. Highest recommendation

My assumption when I bought it was that you had to press both the top and bottom buttons at the same time and both arms would fold out of the way together. My 3 year old would not be able to squeeze the top and bottom buttons at the same time. But the actual design is that you only have to push on one button and that one arm can then swing, meaning the 3 year old can mash her thumb on the button and unlock it. The adhesive installation is easy, but easy to install is hardly a benefit if it doesnt actually serve its purpose.

OMG, I cant believe how great these are. We have French Doors going to the outside of our home. The kind where both panels can be opened and you have a 6 opening to the outside. But to re-close and lock them you have to pull both sets of handles up to engage the bolts at top and bottom. Most of the time, you only open the active panel to exit and enter, and leave the passive panel alone with the bolts still engaged up and down. For the 11 years weve owned our home, guests and relatives have flunked the intelligence test :-) of which handle to open, and then for locking both doors to make the house secure. I cant tell you the number of times weve come home and both doors were wide open because someone didnt lock the passive panel properly, and the wind pushed both doors open. We literally thought we were going to vote some of our friends, and some of our kids, off the island... And because the doors were blown open, we were either trying to air condition the world in summer, or heat the world in winter - both are very expensive - and we got so many bugs inside... We used these child proof lock to secure the handle on the passive door panel so people wont try to open that door (see the attached picture). Problem solved - for less than $13 bucks. Amazing. Phenomenal. Awesome. We absolutely love them. These are STURDY, too. Solid. Worth every penny. Worth twice the price.

Awesome little fix what I really like is kids can only open the door by pulling the handle down so we leave the top open and you can open the door by lifting the handle great fix

I like this lock because it’s on top and bottom of the handle. My kid watches me undo it and he can’t seem to get it because it’s tight which is great.
