> 3 dayWas just tapping aluminum, but did a great job. Had some mounting bolt threads that stripped on a Kohler engine. I drilled them deeper, and tapped with this set. The bottoming tap gave me a few more threads to screw in to.

Greater than one weekI’m new to the hobby and broke a tap I purchased from another seller fairly quick so I thought I’d experiment with the set. I’m using a 1/16th to bore out the post and getting beautiful threads. I refer to the set as a cutter, a rough and a finish. I’m using the cutter and rough as often as I can, but some of the posts are so shallow I use the finish because the others won’t bite. I’ve got a dozen cars done already and see these taps working for easily double, triple, who knows how many more.

> 3 dayThese are not high speed taps, so if you put them in your cordless drill to tap a number of holes, there is a good chance youre going to break at least one. I guess thats why they come in 3s.

> 3 dayThey worked perfect. The price was perfect since I won’t have a use for left handed taps very often. I used them in aluminum and were sharp enough to make clean threads. I don’t think there will be any issues using them in steel.
