Duck Brand Standard Packaging Tape Refill, 1.88 Inch x 54.6 Yard, Clear, 1 Roll (240408)

I thought I had liked this brand of packaging/shipping tape in the past, but the minor cost savings is not worth dealing with more of the tape twisting and getting stuck to itself. Since it feels so thin, I also find I feel I need to double layer it sometimes. If youre using a good quality tape dispenser with a handle, it might be fine for light or medium boxes. However if youre tearing and placing the tape by hand (like after tear it off a cheap plastic roll holder) -- it will stick to itself constantly, folding on itself like tissue paper.

I thought I had used this before, but it must have been different. This tape is thin and wants to fold back on itself when I pull it off the dispenser. I will not buy this again.

It’s easy to start the roll but the tape is thin, not the stickiest, and just seems very cheap. I wouldn’t trust it to hold boxes closed or depend on it to hold something together, but it’s good enough for me to tape shipping labels onto boxes when I send stuff out.

The tape itself is thin and overpriced. Got way better tape and more of it for lower price

Today I buy a different brand It did 50% of the job in all area and 3stars is all I can give Definitely not for packing and shipping I had to use multiple layers to secure the package and of course it lasted 1/3 of the quality I expected to cover Sorry but this is my honest review

So this tape is cheaper than other tape, and for good reason: it sticks well enough for your basic packaging needs, but if what youre trying to stick together doesnt want to stick together, you might be in for some problems. Go with Scotch heavy duty or some other product that sticks better.

I seriously doubt this tape is actually 1.6mils thick. Its extraordinarily thin and as a result, it twists up when youre trying to tape a box. I tried to use it to tape boxes but it simply wouldnt stick nor would it keep in place. Since it came in 4 rolls, I didnt want to throw it all away so I made a fairly clear sticky tape trap in a door way the waited for my wife to come home succumb to my advanced trapping abilities. She got home, walked right through it and didnt even notice it was on her. The tape is literally a total failure. Like me now.

Tape works for what we needed, but kept ripping and we’d have to stop and find the ends. Very thin tap. Worked fine for our packing boxes.

i had always bought this brand of shipping tape and this latest order did not meet the expected quality.
