> 24 hourI followed agent K’s advice and used brown paper and triple twist twine as the preferred method but the post office told me it was not acceptable. Go figure. So someone recommended this stuff and it seems pretty good. Very sticky! Also you need a “tape gun” otherwise it doesn’t go well. After being freed from a giant tape tangle I went and got the gun and now I can ship boxes every day.

> 24 hourI normally use Duck HD Clear Heavy Duty Packing Tape. The Duck Tape Brand Standard Packaging was allot cheaper so I thought I would give it a try. It was not worth the saving the MUCH Lower Quality. The Tape Tends to roll back on to its self when applying. Super Thin & Tears Easy. #Ricks2Cents #RickRamirez

> 24 hourthis packing tape is great, no quality issues at all. the only small issue is that the rolls do not fit our standard size tape dispensers. other than that well be sticking with this brand going forward.

> 24 hourIt is good tape, I would buy it again, but a couple of times it has not come off the roll right such that it tapers at the roll end and I have to cut it off, pick the sliver up, unwind it to where it meets the cut bit, then try to get them to come up in sync so it stops splitting. Most of the time it works as it should.

> 24 hourUsually Duck brand tape is heavier and easier to use, this item is quite thin and tangles easily. Still seals the boxes just fine so well keep but just know this is not the heavy stuff.

> 24 hourThis is listed as standard packaging tape. It is quite thin. I use it to reinforce envelopes. Not sure that I would trust it for use on boxes, especially for shipping. That being said, it does work fine on the manilla envelopes that I have used it for.

> 24 hourUpdate: the company responded, so will add a star, and if the replacement is exceptional I will come and add another star. See below. “Thank you for e-mailing concerning our products. We regret that you have had this experience, but appreciate the opportunity to correct the situation. When tape behaves in the manner you described, it usually means the tape is old or has been warehoused incorrectly. Age and temperature extremes can cause the adhesive on tape to deteriorate and cause the tape to tear improperly or not adhere. We have little control over how or for how long our products are housed once they leave our facility. We also distribute five different grades of carton sealing tapes based on the thickness of the tape. In order of descending thickness they are HP260, HD Clear, EZ START®, Commercial Grade and Standard Grade. Shurtape Technologies was the first to introduce an improved carton sealing tape that lifts easily off the roll, and unrolls smooth and easy every time you use it. This is our Ultra Performance Grade and is called EZ START®. All Shurtape Technologies products are backed by our Quality Guarantee. Please provide a complete mailing address and we will be happy to send you replacement rolls“ Original review: I care that it is made in USA. It is written all over it. But shouldnt that mean that it lasts long (at least a year!) and that the quality is high? I dont know... I feel confused about this. The first few months it worked fine as a tape, a bit on the thin side but in many situations being thin and strong helped. But now... I still have 4 rolls out of 6 remaining, and after 10 months they are fused into a roll. It is like trying to peel off a bark from a tree- comes out in strands, to the point I dont know where is the beginning and the end. I have not contacted customer support on this, but I hope they will replace these rolls. So wasteful!
