As someone who has purchased other battery powered cameras, this is the most impressive security camera I have owned. I have used the camera for about a week and a half. Setup and installation was simple and took less than an hour. I was blown away by the amount of features this camera has given the low $100 price point. The ability to pan/title the camera so that you can capture different angles makes this a very versatile security solution and saves you money as you won’t have to buy multiple cameras to cover multiple angles, just one is all you need! One of the most impressive things about this camera is the battery life. I saw the 3-6 month estimate and rolled my eyes assuming it was an exaggeration. I was wrong! Over a week later and the camera is still at 97% battery life even though I was playing around with it extensively the first few days. I have another battery powered camera and the life on that camera only lasts about 1-2 weeks. The AI detection is surprisingly accurate as well I noticed it had no issues detecting people and even classifying multiple events at once (for example a person approaching and a car driving by at the same time) being able to specify the zone in which the camera records is extremely useful and prevents unnecessary triggering of alerts and helps in filtering out motion alerts coming from things like swaying trees.

Im pleasantly surprised with this camera. I own a couple of other Dzees cameras and already have been familiarized with the app. Initially, I was thrown by the size of the camera. Its a beast, and while that doesnt affect my usage of it, I felt necessary to mention that this is NOT a small camera. But its all good things from here on out. The controls for moving the camera are intuitive and built into the Dzees app. Its basically a translucent D-PAD over the corner of the live video. Perfect. They mustve been hard at work on the app and AI features lately. Here are a couple of things worth mentioning... The first picture in my review looks small, but thats because its from my Apple Watch. I love being able to glance at my wrist when I get a Dzees notification and see an outline around the object that Im being notified about. Theres no guesswork like some other security cameras. Today, upon opening the app, I was prompted to identify known vehicles. This seems to be a new feature that will help Dzees to alert me specifically about what vehicle has been noticed in a motion event. Currently, it seems limited to remember 5 known vehicles, but I think its a great new feature that I havent even seen on my Google Nest (and that has loads of smarts). Now Ill know when the mail is delivered, rather than just a Motion alert. Pretty neat. The UX around managing multiple cameras and an ever-expanding offering of features has been impressive. Everything is very intuitive and doesnt leave me frustrated. Its worth mentioning that the picture quality is pristine, and the night quality is quite clear. Overall, nothing to complain about with this security camera. While I havent run out of battery yet, I have other solar-powered cameras that never need to be recharged. Would love to see a version of this model with a solar attachment.

Update: Vendor worked really hard to fix situation to raise review stars. The replacement camera they sent seems to work a lot better than the original one so I’m happy about that. Originally had at 1 star but raised to 4. I’m hoping firmware updates will continue to improve responsiveness. I have a router and 3 extenders for my 2.4Ghz network. Two are 20 feet away and one is 15. Even still the camera says it has great connection with the network then drops the connection when I click on it in the app to go live. The Dzees support told me it’s my network that is the problem. If that’s true why does it take my ring camera 0.5 - 2 seconds to connect and Dzees takes about 30+ seconds and then disconnects. I REALLY regret not buying a camera that is more high end. Also as part of the “support” I received to fix the issue the vendor is able to access the camera with its serial number. That seems pretty UNsecure and invasive. I may move it so it’s ridiculously close to my network (which kind of defeats the purpose as a security camera imo) just so it’s not a complete waste of money.

Liked these cameras. First ones I have owned and the set up and the viewing is great. Also purchased the solar panels and the micro card. Would highly recommend this product.

Love these cameras other than you must be on the same wifi in order to rotate the camera. Picture quality is great and doesnt blur like ring doorbell. Perfect for watching my dogs and yard.

I am very surprised these cameras work very well!. I am getting rid of the cable security cameras and replacing them with these Drews cameras. Day or night these work very well.
