This surge suppressor unit was a replacement for an earlier model I had that was damaged due to a plumbing catastrophe in the home. This unit is said to suppress power line surges as well as lightning strikes if nearby. The unit was easy to put in place in the service panel since it attached to the existing breakers and busses. A less that 1 hour job cover to cover.

I installed this myself and it was easy to do. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my electrical system is protected.

As advertised

Easy install. Land the black and red wires on a 50 amp circuit breaker. White and green in the neutral and ground bus bars. I placed the unit inside of my panel. Drilled two holes to view the leds.

Someone had posted and wasnt sure if this was warranted by EATON. Upon diving in, this is sold by Billows Electric Supply. They are listed on EATONs website as an authorized distributor. If you have a warranty claim, they will ask! Make sure to buy from someone that is authorized. The whole point of this product is to protect all your more expensive appliances in your home. If for some reason one of them goes bad even with this surge protector installed, EATON will cover the cost of the replacement (please see their tiers of coverage).

This house surge protector is very easy to install. I used an open double pole slot and added a 50 Amp circuit breaker. Attached the red and black wire to the circuit breaker, the white to the neutral bar and green to ground.

I am a master electrician. I put this in my house several years ago & I haven’t had any problems with my sensitive electronics.

Item arrived on time and in good condition. Installed and functional. Hopefully it will help as advertised if a lightning strike or any other electrical network disturbance lands in the area.
