Greater than one weeknew install so will see if it works - shouldnt take long here in southern florida as there are lightning storms most weeks in the summer - one thing I will mention since it wasnt clear to me from install instructions - install new 50 amp 2 pole (240v) breaker as close to main feed as possible - after initial install I looked at it and said how is this gonna protect upline breakers and after a quick google search sure enough it is strongly recommended to install as close to main feed as possible - only cost me 10 minutes extra to rearrange existing breakers and open up 2 slots as this is a straight forward install. hopefully this unit combined with all my point of use suppressors will keep my equipment safe

> 3 dayWe had lightening nearby that caused surges that damaged two TVs,a DVR, Security System main board, and Frig main controller board. I installed Eaton Ultimate Surge Protectors on each of my power panels (Siemens). They mount externally on the side of the power panel and connect internally to new 50 amp double pole (ganged) circuit breakers. Easy install, although the ground lead was not long enough to reach the ground bus bar, so I spliced a short length of 12 AWG ground wire to make the connection. Since you must purchase a new 50 amp double pole breaker that fits your power panel (Square D, Siemens, Homelite, Eaton, etc.) and the surge protector connects to the breaker; it fits any brand of power panel. It also seemed to be slightly larger in person than than looking at them installed on a panel. I feel much less concerned when we hear the thunder approaching.

> 3 dayAs mentioned before, leads are somewhat short for direct mounting on the panel. Hope to never test the surge protection, but I take comfort knowing it is there.

> 3 dayI installed this device in the main electrical panel for my house. There was sufficient room in the panel to drill holes and actually mount it in the panel. The instructions say that it is ok to mount the device external to the panel even on exterior panels but I wanted the added security of having the device enclosed in the panel.

> 3 dayEasy install. Land the black and red wires on a 50 amp circuit breaker. White and green in the neutral and ground bus bars. I placed the unit inside of my panel. Drilled two holes to view the leds.
