> 3 dayThis mount is super beefy, and the weight reflects it. The previous homeowner had just a tilting mount over the fireplace mantel. I wanted to put a 75 TV there and figured it would be easier to have a fully articulating mount so I could get the TV mounted first then pushed it closer to the wall. Boy was I right, there was no way my wife and I would have been able to mount a 75 TV on just a tilting mount because its so close to the wall.

> 3 dayThis was the 2nd time I bought this Mount. I used this for the living room tv the first time and the Bedroom tv the 2nd time. Solid is the key word, very heavy, great hardware, great look and functions perfectly. Has a large back plate that will help if your studs are not exactly 16 inch center. You have to be in the studs, this thing is a monster. This is my 3rd Echogear mount and they are the top of the line. Did I say HEAVY.

> 3 dayExceeded my expectation. Easy to install on the wall. Easy to mount the TV. Adjusting the tv is very free flowing. The only thing I will add is about tools: Make sure you have an impact driver to get the lag bolts in.

> 3 dayAdded photo of Media center I’m building for my house. I put this TV mount for a new 75” I got on Black Friday. The mount itself seems pretty heavy duty. I’m probably 150lbs and I felt I could easily hang off of it before I installed the TV. Some niggling issues with this mount though. There weren’t enough plastic spacers for curved tv backs. The thick spacers were too thick and there weren’t enough thin ones. I had to cut the thick spacer on a table saw. Yeah, cutting a 1 inch plastic spacer in a table saw is NOT anything I would recommend anyone do. Got hit with one flying plastic spacer in my forehead. The problem would have easily been solved by including double the number of thin spacers. The thick spacers were just of no use to me. Secondly, the leveling mechanism on the mount just plain sucks. The leveling is held by friction alone and you have to tighten two screws while trying to keep the huge tv level. Problem is every time you tighten the screws, it goes unlevel do to the screw ratcheting the tv out of level. And the tiniest bump on the tv even after you have it level will unlevel it again, because duh - tiny screws trying to hold the huge tv with metal to metal friction— not so smart. It really needs to be rethought or just completely removed. I would’ve preferred it didn’t even exist. It probably can level but as soon as I put the massive tv on it, it went askew. Trying to get it level again took longer than anything else. The kicker is, yeah, I built the whole media center by hand in my garage, so you can see, I’m not too shabby with being handy. My point being, I installed the mount level already- why have a level adjustment at all that barely works and weakens the mount structure at all. Thirdly, the tilt mechanism should be on a ratchet or gears. It need some kind of locks or maybe even holes in an 2-3 degree incremental angles where you can just stick a metal rod to lock it in place.... because, AGAIN, the tilt mechanism is Friction-based. And it’s not even good friction. If you get this mount, you’ll immediately see what I mean. It really wasn’t designed well. Again, no matter how tight you have the screw, a slight bump on your tv will make it tilt forward. I’m sure this will be the first point of failure for this mount after extended use. As you can see other people who’ve rated the mount low also had problems with the tilt just stop working. The friction just isn’t enough to hold the massive tv in place. The mount is super heavy otherwise and seems pretty good. This is the first tv mount I installed, so, I can’t compare, but the shear weight seems much heavier than other mount sold on Amazon. I just wish the leveling mechanism and the tilt were more robustly designed. They really should not be friction based and held by a couple tiny screws at that. Oh, and lastly, I didn’t find the manual very funny. I’d rather they had included relevant info., like dimensions of the mount instead of trying to be funny. I didn’t appreciate having to pull out a tape measure to measure the distances between the bracket and the hanging hooks, etc., like it was approximately 5 inches from top screw hole to the hook. Why did I have to measure that when they could’ve included that in the manual and saved me the trouble? Instead, I had to wade through corny jokes to see if that info was in the instructions. Was not. Not knocking this product. It worked well enough. Just, it annoys me when a product otherwise well designed has niggling faults that I’m sure the manufacturer must realize themselves and never bothered to redesign. I don’t know how long the tilt mechanism or the leveling mechanism will last. This is sad to think when the rest of the mount seems so heavy duty.

> 3 dayI’ll update my review if my 77” C2 OLED falls off the wall, but so far so good! The install was quick with two idiots doing it, and everything operates as it should. I don’t see what the price difference would justify spending $200+ for something else. This worked great and I was impressed by the quality across the board. Ended up buying more ECHOGEAR items since I was impressed so much!

> 3 dayFirst off, the product feels well made. The install instructions are top notch, and there is a great description for each step. There is a good amount of hardware, but I wish there were 6 anchor bolts, along with the drywall anchors. The finish of the metal is great, and the packaging is well thought out. My main issue with the mount is there is no center holes for mounting plate to wall. I designed my space to have the center stud define my TV placement. I had to manually drill out 2 holes, which in the end worked out completely fine. After centering on that, and using that stud, I needed 4 more anchors just to attach to drywall. I am using 5/8 fire rated, so its beefy. There is very little vertical adjustment, and I had to place my TV 1.5s higher than I wanted to. Calculating height of plate with respect to where the mounting hardware lies is NOT straight forward. Thanks to the laser level I have I was able to approximate a bit better. IMPORTANT!!! Regarding the tilt and swivel!! When mounting your TV, its so important to have a 2nd set of hands. When you hang the TV, the TV will want to swing forward. After securing the TV to the stand as the 2nd person maintains a hold on the TV. Position the tilt where you want it, and tighten BOTH sides of the tilt plate!!! The TV will find its way forward again if you dont. IF you didnt secure your TV wall plate to at least 1 stud, you will find your TV on the floor smashed from the exponential weight placed on the wall mount when your TV is at the extended position. All in all, it is like most mounts I have used in the price range. Its not a bad mount, and I am sure it will stand the test of time, it definitely has room for improvement.

Greater than one weekOverall 3.5 stars but Ill round up. Does not tilt up beyond 90 degrees. Usually would not be a problem but hang a 100 lbs tv and the mount sags resulting in the tv being tilted downward no matter what (mount had some slop that doesnt help). Also, tilt tends to slip overtime requiring it to need to readjusted. This thing is built like a tank and heavy.

> 3 dayWere about 2 weeks in to our install and everything is holding up great! We have a HUGE 83 OLED hanging above the fireplace. This mount is very sturdy and hasnt given up an inch! The install was pretty simple and straightforward. If I had to select a con, it would be that sometimes when you position the TV, it moves pretty swiftly where your cheeks pucker a bit because you think the whole TV is falling. I believe there is a screw in the back that tightens this feature up some, but with the TV hung its kind of difficult to access. All in all, it is definitely worth the price.
